I take it you're renting? Get references from everyone you can and go to a different estate agent.

I'll send you one that you can print... let me know. I've known you guys long enough. I had to get all the help I could get to get my own loan... single mum working part time... all references help. I hadn't rented in over 15 years, so really needed my OWN place.

I'm sorry you missed the house hon. Another will come along, you just wait.

If I can get a mortgage, anyone can.

If they have the first home buyers schemes over there, go for it. They pay your rent while you save for your mortgage deposit.
