Evernote is not updating clearly any more, and it stopped working for me. Every time I try to view a page with it, it just get's stuck at the loading screen.

I was wondering if one of you happens to know a app that works similar, a alternative or maybe one that does the same. The thing is I have evernote installed on my phone and this was a great way to send stories to my phone.

In case you don't know what this app did:

http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=824663

it basically allowed you to view everything on a clean page.

e.g. if there is a story with 10 pages it will reduce it to one. It worked for forums and many places like that.

that's great, but why the fuck are you telling us? we don't fucking care.

we don't fucking care.

Are you representing this whole forum?

People on this board told me about clearly, so apparently people on this forum also use this app. If this app stops working it will surely affect at least a few members of this forum, and those can probably help me solve my problem of finding a alternative app that does a similar job.

well, no one else is paying you any attention, so, yeah, i kinda am representing the whole board. suck it.

I use Evernote, but never knew about Clearly. Hmmm.

Welp, it seems like it absorbed some or most of Clearly's features into itself like a Borg assimilation jack move, making the support of Clearly clearly redundant. ;)

Frequently asked questions

Why is Evernote discontinuing support for Clearly?

We realize fans of Evernote Clearly may be disappointed and want to let you know that we don’t make these decisions lightly. In keeping with our promise to focus on the core Evernote experience, we are moving away from supporting multiple standalone apps. Before ending support for Evernote Clearly, we incorporated the most used features, including distraction-free viewing and web page clipping, into Web Clipper, one of our core Evernote products.

What will happen after January 22?

Customers who currently use the Clearly browser extension installed can continue to do so. After January 22, Evernote Clearly will no longer be available for download.

Any web pages you have saved and synced to Evernote will always be available wherever you have Evernote. Simply log in to Evernote Web or download Evernote to all your devices to view them.

Will I still be able to use Clearly after January 22?

Customers who currently use the Clearly browser extension can continue to do so, even after January 22. While we are not planning to turn these apps off, existing features or functionalities may stop working the next time your operating system or browser is updated.

Is there another way to get a distraction-free view of web pages?

Yes. Use Evernote Web Clipper from your computer and select 'Simplified article', a setting you can save as a Web Clipper default. Learn more

Is there another way to save web pages to Evernote?

Yes. Use Evernote Web Clipper from your computer or Evernote on your mobile device to clip web pages and organize them in Evernote.

How do I find web pages I've already saved from Clearly into Evernote?

Sign in to Evernote from any desktop computer with the same account you used with Evernote Clearly.

Type "source:clearly" into the search field. All the web pages you've saved from Evernote Clearly will show up in your search results. With Evernote, you can also search for web pages using keywords, tags, and location.

That web clipper appears to be the same as clearly, no idea why they made 2 separated apps that do the same thing. Unless clearly had some features I didn't notice, those apps seem to do exactly the same thing.

Well thanks for letting me know about that app.

I use Clearly to read things, my wife uses Evernote on her phone to list amd remember everything else that goes on in our lived. Grocery lists, Dr. appts, or almost everything she needs to remember. She calls it her brain.

Evrernote says it has Incorporated many of the Clearly functions in its Webclipper webclipper you can down from its site.

I'll have to look at it myself. I had not seen Evernotes comment.
