Nope, not a porn spoof, although I'm sure such a one exists.

I was reading an article where reporters asked Clint Eastwood if he would play the Dirty Harry character again. He said there is no way a man his age would be on the police force.

The interesting thing was Angelina Jolie was standing nearby and jokingly said that she would do it.

Is the world ready for Dirty Harriet?

I think for it to really work, it should be done in the old Action Movie style.

None of the slick action shots, over-choegraphed fight scenes.

Oh, and a scene in a strip club. All the cop movies of those days seemed to have a gratuitous scene in a strip club.

I think she'd be great in this -- or even a remake of Death Wish.

*cough*the brave one*cough*

Dirty Harry was great and all, but it's done and over with. No remakes required.

And gender reversals in remakes are so old. I never cared for most of them to begin with. it's the same old movie, WITH A WOMAN!!! YOU HAVE TO LIKE THE SAME OLD MOVIE WITH A HOT WOMAN IN THE LEAD!!!

Jodie tried and failed....

Jodie Foster did a movie last year called "The Brave One". I thought it was worth a shot until thirty minutes into the film. Much to my dismay, I was watching a bad version of Death Wish without one New York accent. LOL

Dirty Harriet sounds interesting though.

I'd never even heard of The Brave One till this thread. it must have tanked pretty fast.

The only thing that hasn't been done for a female rogue cop with a big weapon fixation is name her Harriet Callahan. The basic premise has been done several times -- both in movies and on television. It doesn't sell particularly well, as the Brave One demonstrated. :p

Anyone who's been around female police officers knows the concept of female officers is nonsense. Female officers are a lot more reactive than males, and escalate confrontations to violence more often than males do.

Yeah, I guess you're right. All those people who watched Agelina Jolie wave around those two pistols, while wearing those damn fuckme shorts, must have been interested only in the plot and fine acting abilities.
