Direct TV / Wireless connection

I can't get my fucking tv to the internet......all the connections test good.......and the router connections and protocols are set to what the fuckers told me to set them to and I'm fucking pissed

Hardwire it...you will thank me later.

But, you don't understand.

I've been on the phone with a "live" person from another country for fucking hours........

I suddenly crave curry.

You just need a translator then. My Son set mine up, kids do better at it, they were raised on comp shit.

I have U-Verse and had a similar problem. Also had probs with the system freezing up.

I eventually had to hardwire it. Don't ask me why, but that seemed to fix the prob.

All of my settings say that everything is set up right. But, then I get a 'cannot connect to the internet' code.

On the phone with DTV
On the phone with my ISP

I'm fucking acronym'ed out.

Stop stealing your neighbors wifi connection. Did you put in the correct wireless net code and security password?

what kinda TV?

I know someone who had the same issue with a visio blueray player...COULD NOT get it to connect...for no reason....ended up throwing it away and getting sony...just wandering if Visio has some type of connection issues.

Yes. And it's under my secure wireless and not the idiot neighbor's that I used to use. The UDP set to what DTV needs along with the DHCP lease settings. In two hours and through two phone batteries :cool:I have ascertained this to be true.

I just called Comcast, they said you should have used them.:D

You know, it could be as simple as trying the right channel, since you say you're wired right, if that doesn't work, maybe you should give LTR a buzz, she sounds like she'd be able to give you an e-hand, er, tech support wise that is.
