Isn't it such a bore to worry about this every......single.....night?
C'mon literoticans, give me new, fresh, interesting ideas!!

How about salmon, marinated in teriyaki sauce and grilled on the bbq, green bean casserole and crescent rolls?

How about........

Hot dogs, cheese and bacon, wrapped up in Pillsbury crescent rolls. Throw in the oven for about 15 min., tasty appetizer.

wouldn't it bring a different taste if it was broiled instead of grilled? It changes the taste of steak.

My favourite

Get 2 Sausages, some bacon, a large baking potato and an onion.

Start the potato off by giving it 4 or 5 minutes in the microwave. Brown the sausages under the grill for 5 - 10 minutes.

In a bowl mix about 1/2 a tube of tomato puree, some garlic puree, 1/2 a teaspoon chilli puree (yes I am a lazy git !), some mixed herbs, freshly ground peper and salt and about a glass of red wine. Mix it all together - it will blend ! Add about 1/2 a glass of water too.

Fry the onion and bacon in some olive oil, once browned add the chopped up potato and sausages. Once they've browned, add the sauce and let it reduce down.

You can tell when it's done when the potato is soft.

It's nice with a little mozarella on top, and some crusty fresh bread.

Not really....we usually put foil down on the bbq when we do it outside anyway, since the salmon tends to get flaky and fall apart, right into the coals, if it's not on something. So sticking it in the oven doesn't really change much. We've done it both ways. Comes out fabulous, either way.

You tell me what you want for dinner, and I'll tell you how to make it.

You want recipes? I got recipes.

If you haven't seen it, there is a great book out there called "Cooking with 5 Ingredients or Less"

It's got great recipes and everything is pretty simple to make. Bought it when I was single, wife kept it when we got married.

And you don't want me coming over...I travel with Things :D

Turkey?

Great recipie for people who don't want to spend half the night cooking...but want it to look like they did. :)

Turkey in a Crockpot

Put a 5lb Turkey Breast in a crockpot. Cover it with 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, one can of cream of celery soup and one can of cream of chicken soup. Pour in one soup can of milk and let it all cook together on high for about 4 hours. Turn it down to low and let it simmer another 2 or so hours.

This falls apart in your mouth....and best of all, it's easy.

Learned it on a cooking show. *grin*

lol Myst...

If you could try my vegitarian ones you'd like em. They are not skanky like pork ones.

I would have to say that food is a pain in the ass, as Vixie said. I agree that it is an utter bore to have to come up with new shit to eat, and being that I am limited in so many areas, I am of no real help... though if I could stand it right now, a good enchilada sounds fabulouso. So does a hot soup or chile.

Sorry, really.. no help here.

I am trying to compose a grocery list right now and it is bare. :(

Alright, I'm going to do something I've never done before... I'm giving you Myst recipes. (May God forgive me!) ;) I hate following recipe books, so I make up my own. Yes, that's right boys and girls, Myst can cook!

Greek Chicken a la Kaydia: (that's me!) :)

1.5-2 cups plain yogurt
.5 cup lite sour cream
juice from two lemons (strain seeds!)
handful of fresh chives (if you can find some)
4 cloves of garlic, pressed/peeled
lots of pepper, and salt if you want.
white onion

But all ingredients into food processor and blend until creamy, then put 4 pieces of chicken into a ovensafe whatever to bake, pour over sauce, and bake at 350 for 30 to 45 minutes!

Next week, Kaydia's potato soup! (It's NUMMY)

Really Good Sloppy Joes

Brown one pound of lean ground beef in a large frying pan (medium high heat). Drain it.
Pour one can of Cambell's Chicken Gumbo Soup into the pan, while it's bubbling, stir in the following ingredients:

Ketchup about a quarter cup
Barbecue Sauce equal to ketchup
Mustard no more than a teaspoon
American Cheese two slices
Sugar about two tablespoons
Worcestershire one tablespoon

Stir the meat into the mix thoroughly, reduce heat to low, simmer uncovered, have a beer.
Put it on hamburger buns with a slice of cheese (optional) Frito's on the side, Serves 3-4
