Hi everyone!

Ok - So I am wanting to buy a dildo. I really would rather not purchase on online b/c chances are my husband will be the one to receive the "package" before I get home and I really dont need that! So - does anyone have any suggestions - I am in the Augusta/Savannah, Ga area and would rather go to a store and buy one.

Thanks!

My wife doesn't care but if she did, I'd have my stuff sent to my work address. I can receive personal mail in office if it's addressed to me - can you? Because online toystores ROCK! :) I have two faves, in particular - both ship in plain, very well-secured packages, both are reasonably inexpensive with huge toy selections, and neither of them will sell your email or postal address (and I've been shopping from both for years).

Alternately, you can go to one of those places that lets you send and receive packages like "Mailboxes Etc." and get an address to use for stuff.

Can you tell I'm really down on brick & mortar sex toy stores? Most are cheesy at best, with overpriced stuff very poorly displayed. At worst they're skeezy holes-in-the-wall filled with the worst pervs in any given area. Even the higher-class ones I've been to in major metro areas are still way overpriced and under-stocked with good stuff.

So, more to point now, what are you planning to do with that dildo that you don't want your hubby knowing about? :p

Well, she's more likely to want to use it on you than me, but hope springs eternal . . . ;)

Thanks!!

To answer your question...;) He just isn't very open to some things....he would probably be offend...which really doesn't bother me - he is just more old fashioned when it comes to this sort of thing and I just dont want to "rock the boat"

And to think, I'd probably blow right there if I received a package my wife had ordered. Gets me hot just thinking about it.

But yeah, I can understand not wanting to make waves unnecessarily. Mailboxes is on option, or you could have it sent to a friend/neighbor (with their advance consent, of course). Most online stores are very discrete with their packaging - nobody would ever know what it was, unless you tell.

Great idea!

Thanks! I have thought of asking a friend of mine if I could have it delivered to her apartment - that sounds like the best idea! Thank yoU!

There are a few places that may have what you are looking for. In Augusta, on Washington Road, there is/was a lingerie store called Lucy's Love Shack. In addition to carrying lingerie, the store has a selection of vibrators and dildos. I believe the store is still in business.

If you are familiar with downtown Augusta, you can take the 5th street bridge across the river to South Carolina to get to MAE video. It is an adult book/movie/toy store and usually has a pretty good selection of dildos.

There was a great (in other words clean, well lit, well stocked) adult store on Gordon Higway that the city decided needed to be closed.

Good luck.

That's usually how it goes.

Ever since the U.S. Supreme Court decided that selective zoning for adult businesses was okay, cities have insisted on designating the dirtiest, nastiest, scariest industrial zones and urban wastelands as the only permissible places for such businesses. If a community has no such area, then the cities are basically permitted to ban them entirely. I'm simplifying (greatly), but that's the end result.

Screw the city councils - that's why I shop online. Two-day priority mail shipping, no sales taxes, great prices and great selection.

The ironic thing is that this was in a dead industrialized zone. No neighborhoods, churches, or schools were anywhere near this store. The city is suffering a huge tax revenue problem as well. Given that this was a very legit seeming business, the city gave up a good bit of sales tax $.
