Didn't I just read a poem with that same title?

I thought of an interesting little exercise for us that was inspired by the exquisite possum poems that sp and I submitted. How about I give you a poem title and date to submit. Everyone that participates will not share the poem on this thread, but submit it as a new poem instead. That way no one knows until the new poems are posted how other poets handled the same topic.

If you are interested, sign up in this thread. Once I have several or more participants, I'll give you the title, guidelines, if any, and the date it must be submitted.

Ah, my first victim. Opi, I just came up with a title and here's what I have:

Broken Blinds is the title and no variation of this title will be accepted. It has to be Broken Blinds. Not Broken Hearts and Stained Blinds. Or I'm Blinded and Broken by Your Sex. Broken Blinds.
The title of the poem may be mentioned in the body of the poem. That's your choice.
The poem must be submitted on 01/22 so that it is posted on the 23rd. So make sure you submit it early enough on the 22nd.
I look forward to reading a plethora of Broken Blinds this Thursday!

Opi, as far as any other guidelines, I have none. I'm more interested this first time to see how different poets handle the same topic. I thought of several interesting ways to approach this one.

I am--in spite of my recent spate of sweet vulnerable poems--definitely more the snappy sarcastic type. But I have no idea yet what I am doing about this poem!
