Did any of your parents pay for your college tuition?

Why do I hear so many stories about young people having to get student loans and pay for college themselves?

Do ANY of them get financial assistance from their family?

Sometimes families save and put money aside for their children's college tuition. At least my parent's and grandparent's generation did that.

Tuition debt is a horrible financial burden to be placed upon young college graduates who often struggle to find a high-paying job after graduating due to a failing and collapsing economy.

No, but I was lucky, we did have a grant of sorts back in the 90s.

I still had to sell double glazing and clean out cigarette factories to get by though.

I got a job and worked nights to pay for full-time UNI without having to resort to HECS.
No loan, no debt.
Wtf is wrong with people these days?

The reason why I can't go to college is not financial but intellectual.

I have an IQ of ~89 and college-level coursework would simply be too difficult and too advanced for me. Certainly I would fail all of my courses if I was in a college or university.
