Sorry guys I just saw the story at about midnight last night on tv. I hadn't seen the other things posted on here. I just thought it was too amazing not to mention.

It really is a very cool story. Nice to focus on something other than murder and politics for a change!
 
Just curious, you did know that was an international news story several days ago and virtually anyone with an internet connection on tv has already heard the story? Not criticizing you if you had not read it on Sunday or Monday, just wondering if you don't read newspapers or news web sites? Your post had a kind of gee whiz element that makes me wonder if you just now heard about it. I am curious about people who are off the media grid.

Wow. That's what I was wondering. Do you work a night job or alternative job that keeps you off the information grid for days at a time? I wonder how anyone could not have heard this story three days ago. What are your media habits? I am really curious.

I work on some weekends. I have actually worked about the last 7 days. If I had a few minutes between family responsibilities and such I said Hi around here. I had some time to catch up and I was actually watching a program that recaps the stories of the week. I am just amazed at people like that. That is not me. Well just got the kids off too school and guess what. Got to go to work. LOL..

Well I actually had screwed up again my friend. I saw Lorilei's NICE post and got her mixed up with Lorel who is having a birthday so I had originally posted Special people who are having a birthday. So now I am going to humbly go grab my coat and get a much needed diet pepsi!!! I am also making a note to self not to post any news stories until I have searched the boards to see if they had been posted before and unless I have made sure that the event happened within minutes of my post. Thank you for keeping me up to date on current events. Maybe someone could do that. A daily thread for people who have to work and take care of family along with other responsibilities thread. Maybe you could title it Shit every moron should know. Kind of a classy title.

Oh yeah, I am a divorced mom with a challenging career, so I get that. I know a few medical professionals who that happens to and they stay off the grid for days at a time. If you are interested, some news websites have updates that will auto email you the top headlines a few days a week. You can just scan headlines and click through to the stories that interest you.
