There was a kid who came to school in a KKK robe complete with hood. I took his hood away from him and wouldn't give it back. He had swastikas on his note books and I made them into tic tac toe boards where the O's always won.

Kind of a dick thing to do, not that I look back at it, but I probably haven't changed all that much since then.

There actually weren't really that many conservatives at my high school- it was kind of a thing... We were honestly taught that only rich people could be conservative and that they were trying to hold us down. I honestly have come a long way since then. Politics are very charged where I'm from, moreso then, say, religion. To the point that I've decided that when I come out to my family, I'm going to do it in this fashion.

So... I changed my registration to republican.

But the thing is, the people didn't really understand what conservative values were. They fixated on the money angle and couldn't get past it. Some of the anti-republican folk were vehemently against gun control, for example, or big supporters in minimalist government. But they were/are voluntarily ignorant and that fucking bothers me.

I don't understand why we can't have both. I mean... big long guns with ivory handles go perfect with my scented candles- um- anyway, my point is, people are weird. I think you should learn about things before you decide to hate them.

I've been patronizing and berating Christians since I was in middle school. But only the ones who try to "save" me or bring up their creationism bullshit in a science class. If they keep it to themselves they wont hear a peep from me about it.
