Lena sat looking at the paper on her desk… On “official letter head” that goof Spencer has actually told her she is cordially required accompany him home to a wine and wings night with him and Greg… Seriously… If she had known they were going to gang up on her like this over every little rough patch in her life… She never would have introduced the two of them to each other. She knew why they were doing this… She and Jaxon had hit a rough patch in their relationship which ended in their splitting up and as was her way she had kinda blamed herself and had again become a reclusive. Keeping to just going to work and home unless life demanded more from her like buying food and such as that. Greg had known her most of her life and this was probably more his idea than it was Spencer but Spencer was picking up on things about her and now with Greg there to tell him more she was outnumbered.

She called Spencer’s extension on the in house line there at work and sighed.

Hello Spencer… Fine you two win I will attend the wine and wings night tonight on one condition and this goes for both of you… The first I told ya so I am out of there even if I have to walk home okay…

You had better call and let Greg know the stipulation as well… Oh he knows I would walk home.

I should be done with the Francen account in about an hour.

What kinds of wine… Well Chianti you both know I love and what about Sangrias… Yeah the little 4 pack bottles like Carlie had a ton of at the office pool party…

Okay see you in 1 hour…

She hung up the phone and looked at the account. Mr Francen was a sweet old man but trying to make any changes to this account to get him any more money would be easier done if she were a magician…maybe. She sighed and found a way of getting a dime more in his returns per quarter and tossing her pen down on the desk and hitting enter to save for the final time she sat back and took a deep breath before looking up at her office door to see Spencer standing there waiting for her and sighed but smiled.

Lets go

She picked up her jacket and putting it on and then grabbing her purse. 28 and already a partner in the firm for 3 years and she still looked young enough to be mistaken for a secretary or extra typist during the rush times. She smoothed her hand over her jacket and slacks and walked out with Spencer.

When Spencer got off the phone with Lena , he smiled to himself. It wasn't but a few weeks ago that Lena had introduced him to her life long bud, Greg. She knew I neded to find a place to live afterbreaking it off with my non-openminded girlfriend a month back. I personally think that she had ideas that me and Greg would be a good match.
I just don't know if she realized how good a match. Ever since I moved in I had secretly fallen for Greg just watching him move around the apartment could make my breath catch. Where I was tall and leanly muscled he was a bit shorter and about 20 pounds heavier than me but all chiseled muscle. His good looks wasn't all that attracted me, it was also his unconscious ability to be in control all the time. Where I was a bit more laid back to things, he always had an opinion and voiced.it and usually got his way. Belive it or not I admired that.
Now Lena that was a whole other story. She was so sweet to take me under her experienced wing at the firm when I started fresh a four months ago. She gave me the rundown on how things worked and was full of good advice. We had had drinks after work on a few occasions. I had been careful to hide the feelings I had for her, not only was she a sweet heart but she was a knock out. Looked alot like my ex minus the bitchyness. She was a good shoulder during my breakup and she had alluded to issues in her relationship, so she could empathize. I had to admit Lena was the type of lady I could see myself falling for.
I was expecting tonight to be a great time for us three friends, Just kicking back at mine and Greg's apartment. Relaxing with some lite eats and wine. Enjoying some music and the great view of the city off of our 20th floor balcony.
On the ride there I called Greg and told him we were on our way. And yes the letterhead trick worked. but I failed to mention Lena's stipulation and threat to walk out. But that could wait.

Greg Laughed at the Letterhead idea working. He knew Lena well he knew she had her own stipulations on this little attempt to keep her from sinking into herself and her work.

Let me guess our dear Lena probably had something to say along the lines of how if you or I mainly me said one word about an I told you so or see Jaxon was in fact NOT worth it she would not hesitate to... walk home? Passing at best I can think off the top of my head at least 3 places that Jaxon frequents between our apartment and her condo across town.

Well played Lena.

Laughing... knowing the answer he dismissed it for now... it will be okay we have a guest room and enough wine and drinks to ensure that no one drives and tomorrow is a holiday where you two don't have to work so it should all be fine. See you two when you get here I have to check on the food.

The food was nearly done and what he could not cook he had delivered and plated ready for the party. A secret of his own having run across Jaxon at the Gym and doing his best not to deck the asshole when he had the nerve to ask him what was wrong with her and why was she acting like such a bitch. Remembering brought another quick but deep swill of his beer.

Spencer hung up with Greg and wondered momentarily what else Greg might have privately planned for tonight. No telling for sure Oh well. Greg's main concern was taking care of his friend Lena. That was what all this was about. He had seen her get hurt and isolate in the past and didn't want to have her going through that kind of solitude again. Greg had often talked about his long friendship with Lena. He also talked often about and judged harshly her choices in men. Spencer remembered him saying once that Lena get the heart of any man and then tear it up and move on. But in the same breath he mentioned how if she truly falls for someone she is completely theirs.
Traffic was crawling.Spencer turned the radio down a notch. Figuring it was going to be about ten more minutes before they arrived at the party, and he had already taken care of his to do list, so he broke the ice with Lena and asked, How ya been holding up, girlfriend?

Her eyes drifted to a little bar on a side street they passed and shrugged.

Fine I guess. You two really didn't have to do this... I'll be fine... I just need to...

She was going to say work but suspected that Greg had told him about her penchant for diving into work to prevent having to deal with any real emotion till she simply appears to forget.

Stay focused the future and make sure I can help as many people as possible.

He noticed her quick look at one of the bars, that Greg said Jaxon hung out at, and ignored it. Not quite realizing he did it, he compassionately patted her leg and smiling said you know as long as you have me and Greg for best friends you will be able to handle anything. We can be the three musketeers, he said with a smirk.

They pulled directly off the main street and into the apartment's parking garage. As the two casually made their way to the lobby. Spencer thought how good it was to get home and could hardly wait to uncork some wine ,imbibe a bit to relax and get a quick shower. He was confident that Greg could intertain their guest for the few moments that would take.

Entering the foyer, spencer noticed that Greg had cleaned the place immaculately. The clutter was gone from the open floor plan. Santana was playing and as if on cue Greg came around the corner with to glasses filled with red wine. Offering them to both of us he said about time you guys showed up. I started the party without you. And I for one am incredibly thankful that none of us has to work manyana.

Lena shot Greg a look but still laughed a little and hugged him.

Yes great that we do not have to work tomorrow and I am sure he told you but to make sure its clear... even one I told you so and I walk Got it Greg.

A quick hands up in surrender Greg nodded. Duly noted nothing like that will be said now lets eat. we have 6 different kinds of wings and various other foods... Fried mushrooms bloomin Onions that could put any restaurant to shame if I do say so myself as well as lots more food and several all night delivery shops around here if we want more...and enough drinks to float a fleet of battleships.

Greg led Lena deeper into the house to the living room and spun her around. I knew you were going to go back and buy that dress... I told you it was worth it.

Seeing the two of his friends easily chatting, Spencer took a.quick five minutes to shower and slip into something more appropriate. When he came back into the living room wearing his most comfortable low rise faded jeans and an untucked flannel, he noticed Greg and Lena had situated themselves onto the leather sofa each had a plate of assorted goodies stationed on the glass coffee table. He noticed how visable more relaxed Lena appeared now that she was here, and he made it a point to try and insure that she wouldn't think about that Jaxon character once tonight.

Refilling his goblet sized wine glass and grabbing a few snacks, he eased in on the other side of Lena and said with a lopsided grin... what are you two conspiritors doing planning a violent overthrow of the powers that be?

Lena looked over, it would always be a little weird to see Spencer in such casual clothes but none the less... nice. She smiled a little and laughed at his question.

Actually we were talking about a few old friends that we have run across of late and how some of the big deals back then are not so top of the heap any more.

When her attention was drawn away he seemed to study the dress again with a smile. He had often complained that she never truly went all out and dressed up due to primarily her last two choices in men. It was clear to see Greg was glad to see her in a dress like this.

Greg noticed Spencer's, once over, of Lena and winked knowingly at Spencer. He said, you know Spencer is quite the loner and doesen't give a hoot about any old acquaintances. Besides I am sure that if any of his old friends saw him now they would be jealous. Not to change the subject Spencer but would you tell Lena what you think of her new dress....

Spencer stammered momentarily knowing he was ultra late with any compliments of Lena's sexy new white dress. It was bold and humorous the way Greg put him on the spot. Spencer took another drink of his wine and clearing his throat said yes it is very pretty. It fits your sexy figure perfectly, but as we all know Lena you could be wearing my old jeans and flannel and still be ravishing. There he said it and was just a little hot in the face not knowing if he was blushing or if was just the wine.

After pouring another round for every one Greg got up to relieve his bladder and change the music.

Leena smiled but sank quickly into her wine at all their compliments on the dress. Feeling way over dressed with them both in jeans and shook her head.

Wish someone though had told me it was going to be a casual get together I would have gone home to change instead of tossing this on... She fell silent remembering why she bought it and quickly changed the subject. SO whats on this agenda tonight you two? I know its not just wine and dine... whats up? WHO am I going to be set up with or whats going on?

She looked around at them and smiled but was still sure she walked into a trap of some sorts.

Greg just laughed... Well we could dance...

He held out his hand for her and broke out his million dollar smile that Spencer knew no lady could refuse. Spencer lead Lena out of the oversized french doors that opened onto the thirty foot by thirty foot ground river rock patio that over looked the lights of the city. Seventy five degrees and perfectly clear, the harvest moon was just rising. A better more pictureque night could not have been picked. Spencer followed the pair out bringing their wine and turning on the outside speakers.

At first the dancing was just friendly sashaying, and then he thought that maybe the wine was takin hold because Greg's and Lena's bodys were on occasion, and that depending on the music, touching and moving sinuously together . Spencer thought, though abit drunk, that the two looked really good dancing together.

Then Greg wispered something in Lena's ear and she abruptly flitted over and grabbed Spencer and guided him out to dance with them. They all laughed together and danced like only the wine would allow. Spencer always enjoyed dancing at clubs and was very comfortable with it. Now with both of his friends it was stunningly easy and fun not to mention the passion he started feeling while pressing up against Lena and seeing his sexy roommate do the same.

Several wonderful glasses of Chianti hypnotic music and all her years of studying different forms of dance was guiding her right along with her two best friends... two of her only friends one that she managed to keep from childhood and one that graced her boring life at work. Smiling softly the heels soon cast aside as she danced and danced. As the night wore on she was not sure but she thinks at some point someone massaged her calves and ankles as the night swirled around her. No thoughts of Jaxon no thoughts of anything that the alcohol did not permit.

These two were really cute and she knew they made a great couple they were just too laid back to do anything... that she knew of. Smiling to both of them as they danced some more.

The freedom of dance along with some touching and kissing, and then oblivion.....

Spencer slept deeper than he had in many months. As he stirred, completly relaxed, but waking slowly, he had a premonition that a piece of last night was missing. He hadn't drank so much that he had lost time since his college days. Remembering wistfully the dancing, he rolled over to stretch and was shocked to find that not only was he in Greg's luxurious kingsize bed but he was naked and not alone.

Curled next to him was Lena. Her pretty face an inch from his shoulder. He could feel her breath on his skin. He carefully lifted the sheet and was stunned by her nakedness along with his. Greg's room was the master bedroom and right then Greg popped out of the masterbath wearing a towel. "Mornin sport" Greg said with a mischevious grin. Still trying to gain an understanding of what had happened, Spencer couldn't help but appreciate the sheer masculine beauty of his roommate.

He felt Lena stirring and he sat up against the headboard and waited apprehensively.

She slowly woke up stretching she had a strange feeling she was not alone. Eyes opening slowly she saw Spencer there.. At first it didn't really register till she heard Greg talking behind her. She froze as the realization sank in that she was naked. Biting her lip she looked to Spencer realizing he looked just as confused she started to sit up hugging the covers to her as she did. Her eyes meeting Gregs as he sat back down on the bed. He was strangely calm about it all but she knew him better than that. He was hiding his own confusion and questions... more than likely doing so for the sheer fact that at least one of them needed to be calm during this. The fact that he had separated himself from the bed instead of staying there proved to her he was a little freaked by it all too. She felt a kiss on her shoulder as Greg draped a thick robe over her shoulders and gave her one of those smiles she knew better than to believe.

So I guess I should get the questions rolling... What happened?

She looked between the two of them trying to put the robe on without moving the covers to reveal anything not that it apparently mattered even though she could not remember anything they were all naked.

Spencer had no intelectual memory of the events of last night past the dancing on the patio. But he was sure that his body's subconscious knew what occurred. With no clothes in sight he slipped out from under the sheet and made a bee line for the rest room. Leaving Lena a Greg on the bed to sort everything out.

Looking at himself in the full length mirror, he asked himself how anything could have happened? Not that he hadn't fantasized about being with either of his good friends. But that's what they were good friends. He was a little worried that this situation might change their friendships dynamic and he realized that losing either of his buds was an unacceptable outcome. Also.the fact that Lena needed his and Greg's support right now, not necessarily this confusion. But most of all he was upset that something very special might have and probably did occur last night and so far no recollection was in sight. Spencer was really hoping that it would all come back to him. Or maybe Lena and Greg could peice it together for him. But deep down he knew that this was either the start of something awesome or possibly the end of the three musketeers.

Grabbing one of Greg's robes he slipped it on, took a deep breath and returned to ground zero.

Lena was wrapped up in the robe staring out the window while Greg sat on the edge of the bed still in the towel sign 2 he was a little concerned about this too. No one however was acting like this was some major evil or problem just a window of time that none had active memory of that they just might want to remember.

Hearing Spencer exit the bathroom Lena glanced over her expression was only confusion not disgust or worry just confusion. Her arms wrapped around herself with her hand unconsciously resting on the shoulder that Greg kissed when he handed her the robe. Her chin tucked low against her arm as she sank back into thoughts grasping at anything that might fill in the blanks.

Greg finally spoke. I think I massaged your ankles and calves just like old times after you had been dancing for I would guess hours...

Lena nodded... I think I remember that. Anything you think you remember Spencer or that you actually remember? They both glanced to him hopeful for even a 5 second memory of any kind.

Greg looked over at Spencer waiting for him to respond. He knew for certain something physically sexual had happened, he just knew his body and knew...knew that for once he had relaxed enough for something real to happen with his lifelong buddy Lena and he was quickly adjusting to the concept. Now the Spencer thing, that was another matter, it was just a matter of time before he had that sexy guy on his knees, better sooner than later.

Spencer walked to the foot of the bed, tried to get a handle on his nerves and adressed the two almost almost naked best friends. Just to let you guys know, I am quite convinced that some sort of naughtiness happened here sometime early this morning. And before either one of you start in about how irresponsible, how careless. I need to let you know that no matter what we did or might do together I am perfectly ok with it. I trust you both completely and have grown close to both of you, and sharing in an more intimate manner seems to me to be a natural progression of our relationship. And to be perfectly honest it isn't like I haven't dreamed about just this occasion.

At that he noticed Lena's eye get that glint that he knew happened when she was hatching some devious plot. And he saw Greg just nodding in agreement with his newly revealed fantasies.

Exactly... We are all grown adults who... may have been too drunk to remember but not too drunk do do something acting on something that may be deep down feelings or simply a case of the three of us are just so comfortable around each other that alcohol just guided something.

Lena said as she stared out the window as she spoke

Greg just looked at her listening nodding knowing that LONG ago they had talked about if the two of them had not been attached at the time in high school shaking up their home town. Had they finally done it?

Greg stood up, step over to the dresser and let his towel fall to the carpet. Slipping into a pair of boardshorts, he turned with a smirk and pronounced that he was off to buy us three starbucks' vanilla lattes and some scones for our healthy breakfast from just around the corner, where we spent almost all of our early mornings. I had noticed a couple of girls there really made eyes at our resident hunk. As he was walking out he said you guys should get prepared to have a relaxing but funfilled day off. And be sure and figure out if we are gonna just forget last night happened or if we are gonna pursue our curiousities and explore what could have happened together. I for one am voting for the latter. And he shut the door and was gone.

Spencer looked at Lena, admiring her natural good looks. She was still smiling though obviously lost in deep thought. He felt comfortable with her so he told her how grateful he was that all three of them were dealing so maturely with this. You know Lena you are very sexy and the way you dance is mesmerizing, it's really no wonder. And you might have suspected but not mentioned it but I kinda have crush on your buddy Greg. So there are already two strikes against my willpower. And so I guess you probably know what my decision is, and he playfully elbowed her in the side. Whatever happened last night I definately want to do it again this time to remember it. And he quickly got up and went to the main bathroom to shower, shine and shave.

Lena looked to Spencer and bit her lip. I know that on some level all three of us are interested in the other two. Hell Greg and I years ago talked about if we were ever both single and if we had not been in the relationships we were in back then we might have tried it... being a couple.

She stared out the window as she continued... I will need to swing by the house to get a change of clothes or I wonder if he still has that old t shirt...

Something brightened her eyes at that thought as she watched him go get cleaned upfor the day.

Greg came in the foyer with the coffee and scones. He heard the shower running as he steped.into the living room he noticed Lena was standing at the outer edge of the balcony leaning on the rail. Wearing his old Tenn. state tee shirt. Noticing how it just reached her upper thighs but seemed appropriate for lounging in. He quietly set the coffees down and tiptoed right up behind her and he wrapped her in a big hug and wispered in her ear, lips lightly brushing her soft lobe. and then neck, " did you miss me? and what did you and sexy spencer decide?"

Greg... do you remember what we talked about when you were with Suzanne and I was seeing Mark?

Her voice almost dream like as she was still deep in thought about it all.

Hope you don't mind my grabbing this... it was that or go home for a bit to get changed... I probably still should but... Not like I have not had to wear this t shirt before ... When Mark took off with my stuff in his car from the lake that day...

Closing her eyes she knew that if there was any of her past relationships that Greg hated more than Jaxon it was Mark with plenty of good reasons that still faintly marred her form though nearly too faded to really see.

As for the three of us I think we all know that the other two have feelings for us and whatever happened happened and if it happens again we are all three still together and friends no matter what.

Holding her like this felt right, with his arms around her he knew she would be better of than if those arms Jaxon's worse yet that scum bag Mark. That guy had really hope they didn' run intoeach other in a dark alley. He just held her there pressed up against her curved lean back and he leaned back in and kissed her neck. She didn't pull away but rather reached up and held his head there while his lips slowly and passionately satiny flesh below her perfect jawline.

While holding her body against his, he said " You know Lena I am a bit upset that I can't remember last night. And am about to try and recreate it." Lena turned around in his arms and leaned in tight reaching her open lips to Greg's and they kissed and held each other for moments.

When they finally reluctantly broke it off they both were surprised to notice Spencer was Ten feet away in a towel, he was just out of the shower. At first Lena and then Greg, laughed when they realized Spencer must have been there the whole time, evidenced by the lump growing under the towel.

She was lost in memories wonder about the night before and what had happened and her own feeling vulnerable and lost from her break up with Jaxon and Greg was that constant all her life her actions were so far and beyond unconscious instinct as they kissed.

Feeling eyes on her or them she broke this kiss and looked to see Spencer watching them and bit her lip as she smiled and laughed a little motioning him over to her as well.
