They refused to let him, and then scrambled to block off the road when he teased to the crowd at the Ellipse that he was going to do it anyway, The Washington Post reported

WAPO isnt credible
It is not a source that ever lies. Occasionally a story might be reported in haste without double-checking the facts, but there is no malice in that and even the best newspapers, even the NYT, do it occasionally, in response to the incessant competitive pressure to get it out there first. You would do better to trust WAPO than the Washington Times or the NY Post -- those are not credible.

If the Orange Asshole had gone and got up on the steps to the Capitol, what would have happened? Would the S.S. and/or the Army have had the guts and honor to shoot it down?

I mean, at that particular moment it was still the legal office holder.

Would honorable officers have protected the U.S. from it?

There is no honor in anything you or the WAPO are proposing, saying, or intimating here.

They've admitted lying about the Hunter Laptop and the Russian Collusion narrative.

The Russian collusion was real and you know it. Never, ever bring that up again.

For the rest, to admit an editorial mistake is not to admit to lying.

Yep, Donald Trump has clearly been an espionage asset of Vladimir Putin. This has been shown in everything he's said and done since before he won his single presidency term with insufficient popular votes. This has been highlighted from before his presidency and every single instance of his subservience to the Russians has been pointed out as it happened. There isn't a single honest, objective person who hasn't personally observed this.
