1000 for that? Wow. Never been on a forum with such high requirements for the custom title. Been on a couple with 500 for a custom avatar, but never one with a limit for the initial avater.

We get it all on tape and then have a special screening. Titled AH folk only. We watch it while munching on eggrolls.

Actually, I think every avatar (Shorten that to AV, by the way) is a custom AV. I think you always have to find one to use. When I asked, some people offered to sell me one, but don't take that seriously.

I've been on mostly gaming forums before this. Most of those forums had a stockpile of generic video game character icons for public usag. One such forum had you use a generic icon until 500 posts, at which time you could upload your own icon and change your title as well. Another forum was 25 for icon and 150 for title. Yet another forum was custom icon at the beginning (even though public icons were offered), and 500 for title. It's all very different from forum to forum.

often that might also have to do with how alive a forum is... when nothing much happens, or on a forum that only allows "serious" posts, it would take ages to get 1000 posts... here though it can be quite easy...
