did i ever tell you guys how much i hate screw drivers?

the same place it would if it had half a dozen different ones that were all the wrong kind.

People always have too many. The average person needs 6 at most. 3 sizes of each kind. Of course there are more than just phillips and standard but the average person won't need those.

the pointly not philips that look like philips hate me and earlier they plotted to drive me to brink of insanity.

I hate losing screwdrivers.

Robertson is the only one that should be used.

You know what I hate?
Grub screws.
Especially the kind that use the only size key that I don't have.
Even worse is when that particular size of grub screw is the one that's loose, and it happens to hold the head of my automatic gear shift.

Ever tried driving a car where you have to pull the wire to change gear?

This is why I love my "every godsdamned bit you could possibly ever want is stored here in the handle" screwdriver.

It rocks my repair socks.

Some screw drivers are a real pieces of crap. Me, I will stand by, pry with, and of course, screw with my Snap On drivers any day. They may have been dammed expensive, but 15 years use and still good as new.

Now, the ones that mix perfectly good vodka & orange juice- not so great.

It's a set screw. Only inbred descendents of prisoners call them grub screws.

i have one of those. sadly, the one i needed was fucking missing from the clip. i was seriously raging. i hate to admit it, but it's true.

Handy things to have. Where would the world be without them?

This. I have a small one I keep in my purse next to a pair of pliers.

*twitch*

I'm sorry, but that's on par with using an adjustable crescent rather than getting the correct socket.

For general use, one racheting screwdriver handle, and a complete set of screwdriver bits is going to cover most of the needs for a screwdriver you're ever going to need.

A set consisting of the ratcheting handle, and 101 bits, (various slotted, phillips, star, etc) can be purchased on Amazon for $17.08, and you can get all kinds of specialized bit sets as well if the initial set isn't sufficient ...

Here, they are called grub screws. Even by professional people *gasp*!
And fyi, I am not descended from prisoners, nor am I inbred. In fact, my father was disowned by his family because he married too far outside the home village. And outside his faith.
He was then recruited by a mining company and relocated to Australia because he happened to be the very best engineer in his field.

I realise that not much exists outside America for people such as yourself... but you really should get your facts straight before you open your mouth for anything other than cock.

dude... tools online? from amazon?
sigh

and let me clue you in - a ratchet set with 101 bits for $17 is shit, tool-wise. you'd be better off just borrowing your grandfathers tools, chances are those are made better.
