Did anything good happen in 2020?

I survived Covid when I didn’t think I would. It was awful, but I kicked its ass!

My bonus daughter got engaged to the best young man ever. I’m looking forward to grand babies in the future!

My mom is still sassy and full of piss and vinegar as ever.

I got new furniture for the very first time in my life.

Took the kiddo to Universal Studios and got to see her amazement.

Hubby started a new job and isn’t gone as much.

I got my authorization to substitute teach which has been great so far.

There was so much bad that happened this year, but I’m very fortunate that there’s also been a lot of positive.

I got to sleep more. I wasn't having to be in 7 different places at once. When I did have to go somewhere, there was no traffic. Someplace that would normally have taken me about 2 hours took me only 40 minutes.

I got my first permanent job after 9 years of only limited contracts.

Son got the lead in the spring High School theater production

I got to have lunch with one of my favorite Litsters

I learned that my kids are resilient and fragile at the same time, and was glad that I was able to work from home to help them through this craziness!

Won $3 on a lottery scratch ticket. Seems silly but I never win on those so thought that was A-ok.

The blended family came together as one. Now they all hate each other like a real family.

Yes something very important happen, I realize now that l took life for granted...Visiting people whenever l wanted, hugging friends l miss that so much, going out for dinner...sports events, grocery shopping with no line up or wearing a mask. Life can change in an instance and if we ever get back to the freedom we had l will never take it for granted again.

I gave myself a break and got a new perspective. I've made some wonderful new connections..some of which I think will be with me for a long time, if not always. I have a plan. And the future is looking brighter.

2020 started pretty shittily for me even before the pandemic. But things I did achieve:
Had sex with a 35 year old actual model. Twice. (Unfortunately not as great as it sounds, but still, at 53, it's something.)
Learnt yoga, at lessons (not online).
Did possibly some of the best work I've ever done during our lockdown - I can't go into too much detail, because anonymity, but I'm really proud of what I did there.
Another year of keeping a child alive! (OK, he's 15 now, so that's pretty easy, but still, every year is a win.)
Had some other really great sex with a couple of other guys. (Actually, the second one may have been technically this year, but I *met* him in 2020, so I'm counting that as a win.)
Closed out the year with an unexpected drop of cash into my bank account from my father's estate. He died four years ago, and apparently in clearing up everything, I missed one of his bank accounts, so the money had been sitting there since then, and the bank finally decided to ask me if I wanted it. (Not a huge amount, but not inconsequential either.)
