Did anyone watch the funeral?

Personally I feared the fragile appearance of Nancy Reagan might result in her collapse. Thankfully, so far, that has not happened.
She's built like my mother. They only look fragile...From what little I know of Alzheimers' Disease from the experience of others, this may be the least strenuous week of Nancy Reagan's life in recent years.

Yes, I watched the funeral. It wasn't totally on purpose, but in the end I'm glad I saw at least part of it.

I was actually in the waiting room of the garage where I took my car to get worked on. It was on the television, so I watched. Lots of pomp and circumstance. It reminded me of royal weddings I've seen, the most recent being the crown prince of Holland to a woman from Argentina.

In the back of my mind, however, I couldn't help but feel it was a bit morbid to televise a funeral. Even if it was one for a state figure, it's still the interring of a body into the ground. Seems like it should have been a bit more private.

My two cents.

to be honest, I kind of had the same feeling. regan spent so much time making sure he was seen as a champion of the common man, such a pomp and circumstance procession did seem a bit out of place.
