Both of my parents are deceased, my son is in NC and I have no grandchildren. My younger sister goes to her mother-in-law's. I'm welcome, but she's a smoker and I'm allergic, so I don't go. My nephew and his wife will stop by. Her family doesn't celebrate because they're witnesses. My brother is in Chicago and the other sister is well............loony.

That's true. I live a couple of blocks from one of the major hospitals in the city. People ask if the sirens bother me. They don't because I know someone is depending on that ambulance for their life. I can pretty much tune them out now.
