We've had small amounts of snow. I think the biggest was around an inch that started on Christmas. I don't know which I dislike the most, the snow or the arctic temperatures.

I can't decide which is worse myself. Of all things I do believe ICE is though.

Around 30 inches of snow so far where we usually get less than 20 for the entire winter.

My last class is graduating from high school this year. The first to report her college acceptance is going to Spellman. When she told me her short list, I told her that in my opinion Spellman was a good fit for her.

The holidays were good, thank you. Hope you enjoyed yours as well. I'm getting around ok. Of course if there is snow happening I stay home. If I get the "Wheelie" out it is fine but I don't want to have to be getting it out or putting it back in my van during a storm. Besides, cleaning off the windows can be a bit of a challenge. Thank you for asking.

Yes, it's a winter wonderland out there. Most schools are closed. I can't imagine those that are open having enough teachers or many students.

I tell my former students all the time that I was truly blessed to have such wonderful people in my classes. They made me laugh when I was sad and sometimes, on 9/11, we even cried together. They remember the strangest things. Stuff I'd hope they would have forgotten......like the time I forgot my earrings and put paper clips in my ears. Then a co-worker suggested I connect the two with more paper clips. I walked around most of the day like that.

She was an awesome student. Great parents too.
