Dexter

Now we're talking. Last season's ending was the most jarring I can remember in recent memory.

If I recall correctly, in season two the burly detective caught on to Dexter, and I think Quinn is going to be his next in-house victim this year.

I do like the santería angle. It's about time they did something with that.

Yeah but Quinn is too much like the character rom season 2 I feel. I dn't want them regurgitating the same storyline. I suppose because Dexter works with the police there are going to be police that might be suspicious of him, but Quinn will ultimately meet his demise.

I was joking with my wife that Deb and Quinn should do it in the blood as they are cleaning up the bathroom. Then they went at it on the kitchen floor I was surprised, but then again not because Deb seems to do stupid shit over and over.

I don't think the trinity killers son will say anything to Quinn only because he is happy his dad is no longer alive. So the Kyle Butler Alias should be safe.

Not sure I like the deborah quinn relationship. Quinn might as well tell his loved ones goodbye since anyone she is around ends up dead. She is a modern day Angela Landsbury.

I knew the grandparents would end up taking the kids. No way Dexter could be Dexter having to deal with Aster all day. Cody needed to go as well so Dexter had time to play. Harrison can be watched by anyone at this point so doesn't matter.

As for the new animal control serial killer I found it odd him dumping the barrels in a shallow pond like that. What was the reason for the electrodes on the barrels. Did I miss something? Were they not dead prior to being dumped in them?

So far it is shaping up to be a good season.

I agree. Then again, I don't find the sister mildly attractive in the slightest, so her with anyone just irks me.

I'm glad the kids are gone. They're too much of a distraction.

As for Boyd Fowler, I think the reason he electrocutes them is to mislead investigators as to the cause of death. The funniest line of the season so far was when Dexter said he was CSIing me. I think Fowler thinks this will do something to the bodies to keep the real cause of death from being discovered.

Then again, I'm pulling that one out of my ass. I really have nothing. ;)

SPOILER ALERT

I do not like how he went against the code and killed the one guy in the season opener. And Harry telling him it was the first human thing he'd seen him do?

That goes against most anything else Harry ever told him.

The guy was truly an ass hole, but if Dexter starts killing every asshole on his bad days...uhm. No.

The whole Deb/Quinn thing...I see Quinn not making it to the next season :)

I am totally with Kendra on this one. His killings so far seem justified and this one did not ( i know such a moral dilemma). I mean if i killed every asshole at work, there would be few left! :)

A Dexter Blurt....by Kendra

This season is not, and will not, be able to surpass last season in awesomeness.

So far, I'd have to agree.

I like the Santa Muerte angle, but I would have preferred something about santería more.

Oh, c'mon you guys! We're two episodes in. Wanna maybe give this season a chance?

I'll give it a chance, but so far....so predictable.

I still say last season will be nigh on to impossible to exceed.

Not giving up on this season at all. I love the show no matter. There is just no way this season could be better then last season. Doesn't mean this season won't be any good. Every season has been good some just better then others. If I had to rank them it would go:

Season 4
Season 2
Season 1
Season 3

Yep...I agree.

There is an odd feel to this season to me for some reason. It just seems, SO FAR, a bit off the mark. Just a funky inkling, I'm going to be interested in Julia Stiles and her character though. Wonder what she's gonna bring to the table.

Well so far he's had to deal with the death of his wife - which WAS inadvertently his fault, the care of three kids, his need to be a "good" killer, AND the pressure to show grief like a normal person. So.... I think poor Dex has been off kilter, but it's understandable.

I"m not sure I like the Quin story line. But has any one else noticed how BAD he looks? He's lost a ton of weight, his eyes are shadowed and sunken.... sallow skin. Eeeeew.

Yeah the whole Julia Stiles has kind of thrown me for a loop a bit. I also agree about Quinn. He looks sickly this season. He lost way too much weight.

I agree with that order. Season 3 is easily my least favourite, yet it really wasn't bad. Season 4 was epic.

I've found the first three this season a bit different, but I find that a lot in the first couple of episodes because there is a lot of things they have to tie together. Looks like it is about to get intense and is starting to pick up. They had a lot of loose ends to tie with the death of Rita in season four, so I'm not surprised. Can't wait to see what goes on.

There are too many posts to recount, so here goes:

The Jimmy Smits season was the worst by far. Season four was epic, but I can't decide whether season 2 or season 1 is better.

As for Quin, I'm not sure how they're going to make this differ from season 2's discovery by the detective. And this season, they're still trying to tie up Rita's death and get Dexter back on track. I agree with the poster who said we have to wait to see how it plays out, but I'm not sure I like the Julia Stiles angle.
