Nice to know you'd be giving the new arrival and that you gave your three nice names as oppose to a certain celebrity who shall remain nameless (What's she want a family or a fruit salad?)

haha, well, most of us name our children because they have some kind of meaning. Some people just pick some crazy names, I agree with that. My family never really liked me naming my oldest daughter Alana, but I DON'T care :D

aint that sad - you're the one that carries the child for 9 months and raise them along with the father, yet the family feels it is up to them to decide a name. Familes are a funny thing, no wonder I haven't talked to mine in almost a year and honestly that is one of the positive things from the past year LOL you're right - you name your child because the name has meaning to you and its not anyone elses choice but yours :)

Exactly right. None of my family has asked me what I plan on naming this baby (Other than my mommy, her and I are really close and live like 2 blocks away, if that) I know how it feels to be out of touch with family, one of my brothers stopped talking to me 4 yrs ago and I have never even met his youngest child, he and I were extremely close  .

Sometimes not talking to some family members is a good thing, but I have always been close with my siblings, till my brother got married. I still have 2 other sisters, 1 is 11 and 1 other brother, age 17, they are like my children (long story) Anyway.....I hope your doing well and have a GREAT holiday.

when you're growing up it never seems as if you'll be out of touch with your family, but once you grow up and start your own family or do your own thing, they think its still ok to tell you how things need to be done - I became the executor of my fathers estate and held pwr of attny for him, yet my mom told me just cause I had pwr of attny didn't mean I could make decisions for my dad and that anything I had to decide I needed to sit down with my brothers and discuss - FAT CHANCE! it really is true that when someone becomes unable to care for themselves as my dad did, the rest of the family comes out of the woodwork, mainly cause they think they get money - crazy crazy

Wow, I really feel 4 you on this one. This happened after my great grandmother died, it was a MESS...everyone who never took care of her or never even seen her 4 that matter, wanted money, crazy ass ppl.

My grandmother took care of her till she passed, which was 5 or 6 yrs.

I like my tummy rubbed, calms the baby down. :) Hubby was putting the remote control on my stomach and watching the little one kick it off :) Men are strange creatures :D

i'd probably kiss your belly alot and talk to the baby if it was my kid

Awww, that's so sweet. We do play music (put head phones on my belly) read and my 6 yr old daughter likes to sing to the baby.

Wanna hear a cool story. When my first daughter was born, she was very ill (almost died and was 1 month early) We would read her green eggs and ham (while she was in the womb) and when she was so sick we would read it and her heart rate would go up. Things like that are AMAZING, till this day, she still loves that book. :D
