In this thread lets hear just your thoughts . You may reinforce your feeling with an image. What are your innermost thoughts and insecurities?
Let me start first.
I feel this world is going down the drain.
People make use of religion and ideology to hate others.
Many people I know, who claim to be holy, or God fearing, in my mind are just kidding themselves.
Who are you to criticise others because they are different?
Not too long ago, some groups of people treat Black people as less than human and they even quoted the bible to attest that Black people have no souls.
Not too long ago, Jews were looked down upon because they are different too.
Now it's happening again. The good people (including some Blacks and Jews) are saying the Muslims and Arabs are animals, etcetera. Muslims, Arabs and even Sikhs (just because they wear turbans) are ill treated everywhere in this civilised world.
In my humble opinion, priests generally, whatever religion they profess, are parasites. If you want to spread God's good words, don't get paid for it. I know clergymen in certain countries work very hard with their sweat to earn a living. They then make use of their free time to spread the good word and they don't get paid for this.
Look at the present pope. He lives in a grand palace. And he shoots his mouth off criticising other religions. In my opinion, a man of his standing should not do this. He is creating hatred for the Catholic people from non-Christians.
I consider myself a religious person. My belief is universal. I believe man should communicate directly to God. No priests, churches or temples, and no idols, and no uniforms or elaborate rituals. God loves all men, women and children, no matter what their beliefs are.
