Desultory and Impulsive

I guess opinions are illegal here?

It does sound narcissistic among other things.

Oh, sure, and art. Right. Art dick pic.

Get bent.

This is not your thread. Your judgments are not needed or welcomed here.

See my post above.

Self-focused is more how I would describe it, in the context of showing a bit of the process of a visual artist. Observing something, framing it in your mind, then wondering if you can actually capture what you are seeing. Doubting the quality or point of the resulting photo, but giving in to the impulse to manipulate it. Creating something different than the original image that actually expresses more.

A narcissist would be unlikely to express feelings of doubt about having taken the photo and would not use the terms "average" and "normal" to describe himself. I know that, in an earlier post, he says, "Every once in awhile (and this is going to sound arrogantly narcissistic) I'll take a dick pic, get all fine photgraphy Robert Mapplethorpe with it and go "fuck... that's a great dick pic!""

Sorry, y, but I don't think that qualifies. If you looked at the photo and said, "Fuck...I have a perfect dick and my photography rivals Mapplethorpe's.", really believed that, and proceeded to share said photo and opinion with others, then you would be a narcissist.

P.S. I think saying arrogantly narcissistic might be redundant.

Pretty good break down.

In my head I wrote it to read arrogant and narcissistic... but apparently there were some hang-ups during the converting process.

Conveying what I wish to say
How I wish to say it
Has always been a struggle.

The results of this struggle appear to be in your favor from what I have seen.
But I understand the feeling.

It's all a fantasy. I've read about porn shoots and it sounds like there's nothing natural, organic or intuitive about the process. It takes mad skills to do some of that stuff AND look sexy doing it. :D

There is a wonderful podcast/YouTube channel. I sometimes listen to on my commute to work that focuses on the profession. Features many actors and actresses in the field. Many topics are discussed including the differences of their porn sex life and their private sex life and what they masturbate to when they are doing neither.

Pretty fascinating on many levels.

You say that like it’s a bad thing.

I think it sounds hot, and I like that he kind of said, after all the bells and whistles, aw, fuck it, this is stupid, and did not post the pic, yet, kept it... and told us about it.

The whole thing makes me smile.

This makes me feel accomplished

Thanks for this. I like this sort of thing. I’ll look it up

You are very welcome. It's way the fuck better than those put upon casting couch type "interviews" as they actually discuss, not just porn and fucking, but what the life is like. It's a great in-site and sheds a lot of light on how; for some, it's an honest legitimate career choice of well balanced untraumatized individuals that... golly-gee, grew up in a stable (as stable can be) environment.

Yes exactly. Treat it like a profession vs a pathology

He threw her to the ground
In such a way
That when her body stopped
The breathing of it
Resembled that
Of a soft petal of a flower

Spent

And of no purpose
To the plant it once made beautiful.

Narcisstic people can describe themselves in “humble” ways.. if its beneficial to self - and it may well be in terms of manipulating a response out of someone. Without the pathological need for attention and the manipulation that comes with it, its just confidence/arrogance. And the distinction between those is whether we view that self confidence as inflated or not.

Tho besides the point :)

Its odd for someone to come into a forum where we all basically share photos of ourselves for attention and throw the word narcissist about. Are we all supposed to hate ourselves? 🤷*♀️
