This is not about politics. It is about a state refusing to rebuild intelligently. Stop looking at "disaster" relief in Florida as anything but what it is...false source of economy. Every year humdreds of millions is pumped into Florida's economy and how is it spent? Rebuilding exactly how and where they had built before. Time to give that money to other sources. I am all for helping states suffering from disasters. But let's look at numbers...and ask...did that investment mitigate future potential disasters? Is it a coincidence that the 2 largest recipient states over the last decade...are two that don't have state income taxes? They don't invest in themselves. Why? Because they are sucking the Federal tit. This is easily solved...instead of free money...give states low interest loans. If you value your state...surely you would be willing to rebuild it right?

So...FEMA is running out of money. Yet...which elected officials are refusing to fund them? Why?
