Well, no REAL reason. Don't you just hate that? You can't really explain how you feel, because you can't even figure it out for yourself. You just feel crummy, and don't even know how to fix it.

Grrrr!

A cup of sweet, milky tea and a smutty novel always cheer me up when I've got a case of the pointless blues. :)

Ginny porn usually does it for me, but today I don't even feel like looking at porn...

I like to log onto Lit. and read Nora's posts. Perks me up every time.

What a nice thing to say!! Thank you!

The full moon does it every time...brings all the bizarre feelings and also brings the weidro's out from their caves and from under their rocks, too. It should pass in a day or two.

That seems like a good thing to blame it on. Much better than what I was thinking.

So if I yell at anyone for the next couple days, I get to blame it on the moon. :D

It works for me! :D I've been on edge for the past week because two of my closest friends are in Kuwait and will be involved in the confrontation when it happens.

I'm sorry to hear this, I hope they'll stay safe.

brunhilda, I think we all get this, and it always passes. Hope you're doing better now.

I just go Sing in my shower.. And then HIDE under my blanket And goes to sleep .

Full Moon......

Baaaarrroooooooooo!

Just go with the slump, don't dwell on it, I go on the Lit, or watch cartoons. If you feel like sleeping, sleep.
Biorythmns always screw with me, sometimes I can't be brought down, sometimes I just don't get up.
During those times, I like to curl up on the couch, grab a book, turn on the radio, turn on the TV, and just soak up the overload.
When the weather is fair, a motorcycle ride snaps me right out of it.

This is what I wrote during one of the down times;

"That perfect sphere you create between the physical world, you and your god.

The rushing silence penetrated by only what you allow in, and your space witnessed by only those that you choose to observe it.

Some drift in their spheres for minutes, hours, days, and in some cases forever.

The quiet time is an escape from the noise of conformity and chaos that exists around us, a temporary state in the silence of death."

Life is such an interesting ride! :D :rose:

Grrrr!

Here are some things I have learned in dealing with depression,
I have a natural tendency to drift in that direction:)

Anti-depression tips

Now something we all sometimes do not realize are dietary issues
one item is complex sugars........the body reacts the same way as the consumption of alcohol as the complex sugars act as a depressant. So when in a down state, alcohol and sugar are the last things you want in your body as they will feed and worsen your depression.

Another thing is hunger(low blood sugar) will affect your thought making it more likely to distort to the negative. So do not let yourself get too hungry when in a depressed state, your appetite may be non existent but you must force yourself to eat.

Vigorous exercise raises the endophins in the brain helping to combat the depression.

Proper sleep- rest is important to the function of the brain.

If you are caught in a vicious negative thought loop, do something that distracts you, something that requires concentration. What worked for me was learning how to dance,
the concentration of learning the steps gave me a break from my obsessive thought and allowed sanity to creep in.
Staying busy can accomplish this.

Whenever you find yourself climbing on the pity potty throw yourself in another direction no matter what it takes.

:)

And some other ideas are chocolate and lots of sex:D

I hope you feel better.:rose:

When I get down and towards a more depressed mood I get creative. Sit down, listen to music, have a cup of tea/choc/coffee and read a book, draw or write. :)

this only happens to the weak minded ones. It might explain why I've never needed to "talk". Sick Sick Sick, simply disgusting.
