You enter a darkened office, where a man is seated nonchalantly behind a huge desk, a hand crafted work of glass and steel. Arrayed across it are his various 'ware' as he calls them. The SRP he has developed, and is currently developing.

OOC: Basicly a place for me to hang my hat, and fiddle with various rp concepts that scurry across the dark resessess of my mind. Feel free to suggest concepts, critique my own, or just make out in the closet. Will be updated regularly

Projects:

Comic based
Heaven, Hell, and Everywhere inbetween:
A suggestion by Red that I've mutated into my own project. Involves Red working with an Angel halfbreed (as in Gabriel from Constantine) Still fiddling with details.

Symbiotic Relationship:
Venom (of Marvel fame) saves a woman from a mugger, and then takes her back to his place for a little....****.

Sci-Fi /Paranormal
Dawn of Night:
Dracula, awakened on the dawn of the 21st century goes out into the world, exploring it, and finding a beautiful young woman in the proccess, to whom he seems drawn. Possible update of "Bram Stroker's Dracula" to Modern times

*Knocks politely on the door before opening it and stepping into the room, then closing the door behind me.*

Evening, just one question...how is a "Symbiotic Relationship" comic based?

Because Venom is comic based. Exact details of the plot are complicated, but basicly, his symbiote has entered a phase in it's reproductive cycle where it is attempting to gain new genetic material from sources besides it's host. To this end its pumping up Eddie's sex drive so that it can profit from the eventual interaction.

Oh... I see. Forgive me I mistook your use of the word comic

*blushes from embarassment lowering my eyes*

So no ideas for a good romance? The boys around here never seem to want romance.

Hmmm........not at the moment, well aside from Dracula, and I assume you mean baseline human in your statement. Romance is something a lot harder to capture for an RP. It takes chemistry between the writers, and isn't something you can just pull out at will.

True, I agree wit you there. Well anyway, it was nice chatting, I wish you all the best in your endeavours.

*Smiles and turns to walk out of the room*

Nuh uh uh. Quid Pro Quo Clarice ;)

Why don't you tell me what You think a good romantic rpg would be? Then I can add it to my list :rose:

Truthfully I'm not sure what a good romance story would be. secondly thats not the sort of thing I'd discuss openly on the boards. What if someone were to steal my ideas? ;) But if you're really interested, you can always give me a ring... or in this case a pm.

I've been thinking of starting an SRP based around the world of the Ace Combat videogame franchise. Specifically, relating to the Belkan War, be it during the war itself, or some time after. But I don't know how to go about it. I'm not sure how much characters would need to know about the story to get in.

The characters could be war reporters, or pilots (both regular, and/or mercenaries).

Hmmm....well I'd say you're best bet would be a 'Top Gun' Approach. Where you perform missions, and then have downtime in between. A bit confusing...but if you kept the number of people reasonably small it wouldn't be too difficult.

Ace Combat Wiki

Heres some info on that game's plot. Might help you with putting together your own subplot for the rpg. General piece of advice, don't use the main plot from any game or movie. it tends to rush and confuse matters, as the rpg will probably not follow a stright line like the game does.

Oh! I don't need help knowing the story, I need help shaping it. I have played Ace combat 5 and Zero, and know enough about the circumstances surrounding both the Circum-pacific War and the Belkan War.

I just need to know how I should introduce and shape the RP. Go about it with the War Reporter view? A neutral view? A pilot's view? Go flashback-like? Documentary perhaps?

How about if you covered it from the perspective of the pilots, and then also had was reporters on the ground. You could even have some relationships going on there. Be kind of a nice balance because you'd see both sides of the story. Throw in some possible spies, and an enemy agent or two.....you'd be all set.

The idea is having my character, a war reporter, arrive at Valais Air Base to mingle in with the mercenaries, 17 years after the Belkan War ends. Then, as she goes about her business, things happen...

I guess I just needed to put things clearly in my mind. I wrote a lengthy prologue, but I think I'll go for something simpler, and an OOC/Casting Call...

Thanks for your help. I really needed to get things nailed down in my head.
