I tend to lean conservative on some issues, yet I support the Democratic party.

I feel that Democrats have America's best interest at heart. They are the party of the people, not just the wealthy Caucasian men, like the GOP.

They exhibit compassion and empathy which today's GOP woefully lacks.

They are an inclusive party, not exclusive. GWB tried to make the GOP inclusive, adding prominent people of color, especially Hispanics, to higher positions in his Cabinet, but Dump wiped it away with his divisive hate rhetoric.

I am glad today's Democratic party is returning to having a backbone. That turn the other cheek, kumbaya shit doesn't work against bullies. They are learning that one has to take a stand to save the country.

Democrats, these days, have compassion and empathy for everyone that AGREES with their political platform/agenda. Democrats, these days, violently and vituperatively oppose anyone who disagrees with them. Ben Carson at HUD is a good example of skin-color inclusiveness in the Trump Administration. Do you really believe that skin colors and genders need to be equally represented in Government?
