So now, the Democratic Party prospers on the votes of the very people it has spent much of its history oppressing.

Democrats falsely claim that the Republican Party is the villain, when in reality it’s the failedpolicies of the Democratic Party that have kept blacks down. Massive government welfare has decimated the black family. Opposition to school choice has kept them trapped in failing schools. Politically correct policing has left black neighborhoods defenseless against violent
crime.

So, when you think about racial equality and civil rights, which political party should come to mind?

A fact that can't be argued: Democrats are going to democrat, and that means keeping minorities down.

The source of the “200 years” quote is Ronald Kessler’s 1995 book Inside the White House. Kessler got the quote from Robert MacMillan, an Air Force One steward who said LBJ uttered this comment to two governors during a conversation on the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Snopes, a fact-checking website, states “there’s little evidence to back up” the quote.

It’s a strange claim since Snopes admits the quote “wouldn't have been entirely out of character for LBJ” and other sources corroborated many of the other “juicy tidbits” MacMillan gave Kessler (such as LBJ’s penchant for walking around nude in the presence of others).

Fact: A source is a source. Denying it because you want too doesn't make it fictional.

Saying something has been debunked doesn't make it so.

We likely never will know for certain if LBJ said what MacMillan claims, but Snopes’ case falls short of casting serious doubt on the testimony of an eyewitness account.

Read your own cites. That Snopes link points out that the man who claimed to have heard LBJ say it was an unreliable narrator at best, and that it was out of character for LBJ at that point in his career.

Only one untrustworthy source claims LBJ said it. Deal with it.

Not to mention, the Civil Rights Act isn't really the reason why most Blacks vote Democratic. No, it's the Southern Strategy.

This documentary is based on what is taught in reputable Universities all across our Country. There were no Republicans in the south until after the Civil Rights Act was signed by Johnson. They left the Democratic party in droves because they were racist. Those.folks were Democrats in name only...their policies and beliefs were in line withe Republicans of today.

The GOP party of Lincoln, those folks polices and beliefs aligned themselves with Democrats of today

A party/name shift occured.

So, anyone saying the Democrats of today are the party of racists and slavery is incorrect. You are probably receiving this type of thinking from Republicans of today, who know the real history And use propaganda to suit their agenda.

Seriously, look up the term "incel" already. You don't even know what a fool you're making of yourself here. For that matter, you also need to study up on the Nazis if you're going to compare them to the left.

If that were true, you'd have provided a reputable source by now. You haven't, you've just repeated a decades-old rumour from a singularly unreliable source, which may or may not have been repeated by one of your pet black conservatives. (I note you don't even provide any evidence that Carol Swain repeated the claim. But even if she did, that alone means nothing.)

By the way, do you even realise how racist it is of you to repeat that quote? It implies that the only reason why African-Americans vote Democratic is that they want a handout from the government, which feeds into a number of racist stereotypes. (And because history is a lot more complicated than people like you like to think, yes, it is true that LBJ was a racist by modern-day standards. But there's still no dependable evidence that he made that particular comment, much less that he believed in any such thing. That wasn't the point of the Civil Rights Act at all.)
