He is prohibited from running for state office. Louisiana can't prohibit him from running for a Federal office.

The papers are calling this election an overwhelming victory, but it's a gerrymandered district which was drawn to guarantee a GOP seat for Congress. The second place candidate was an 87 year old convicted felon, who received 32% of the vote.

Lots of spills have happened in the gulf. There was a big one in the 70s, before I was born, pemex.

I heard BP was rushing to meet a deadline.

It's not clear what he meant, but I often saw my father throw a lit cigarette into a pan full of gasoline to extinguish it. He was a mechanic and sometimes used gasoline to clean parts. I think he just put his cigarettes out that way to mess with me.
