I do not own a Tesla but I can see valid reasons for owning one. (A model X or model S, obviously not one of those rolling dumpster-looking abominations) Save cost on fuel, and so on. I would be pissed off if someone torched my car for political reasons, just as I would be pissed off if someone torched my Toyota Tacoma because their grandfather was killed in Pearl Harbor, or some such thing.
