Republicans and conservatives don’t want to tear down the system ; democrats do!I appreciate that many believe we are at that point. I'm not one.
I find it stupid that both parties seem to believe the only way forward is somehow to tear the system down.
Pack the courts, change the rules or overturn the election results.
Maybe I'm naive, but I would prefer that we work with the system we have and find consensus and compromise on issues. I'll keep working towards that end rather than tearing it down.
Lol, sure they don't keep telling yourself thatRepublicans and conservatives don’t want to tear down the system ; democrats do!
Just a point of order that this "pack the courts" idea is just another Republican lie. No one in the Democratic Party has made an actual move to pack the courts. In contrast, many Republicans have openly attacked the election process. Much of this "the Republicans are pulling ahead in the vote" is just the already-used Republican set up for denying election results if the results don't go the Republicans' way. They are doing this right out in the open.Pack the courts,
I'm talking about voters and pundits, not representatives.Just a point of order that this "pack the courts" idea is just another Republican lie. Problem is, that assume opponent that argue in good faith, is willing to compromise and accept the outcome.Maybe I'm naive, but I would prefer that we work with the system we have and find consensus and compromise on issues. I'll keep working towards that end rather than tearing it down.
Yes, I'm familiar with the - "I need to cheat be cause the other guy....." Argument.Problem is, that assume opponent that argue in good faith, is willing to compromise and accept the outcome.
Your current opposition does none of those. Instead, they have adopted the Russian playbook where win-win outcome is seen as a defeat but bad-worse is preferred over that, promises are given to be broken and no compromise is ever final, but a step in ongoing advance over "weakness" of the negotiating party and so on.
Yes, I'm familiar with the - "I need to cheat be cause the other guy....." Argument.
If your position is to skip the system because a dishonest opponent makes.you do it....I can't agree. Adding Russia as an example doesn't make it any more compelling to me
Apples and kumquats. The packed court issue hasn't gone beyond stated opinion. The election denial is rampant in fact. These are not equal. Only Republican propaganda make them so--which apparently worked with you.I'm talking about voters and pundits, not representatives.
I've heard many pundits suggest that Democrats increase the number of justices on SCOTUS. That is not a Republican lie.
I expected the "not my party, their party" rhetoric and you guys haven't disappointed
Lol...sure thing dude. Whatever works for yaApples and kumquats. The packed court issue hasn't gone beyond stated opinion. The election denial is rampant in fact. These are not equal. Only Republican propaganda make them so--which apparently worked with you.
I guess one way to go about your life is to be ignoraRepublicans and conservatives don’t want to tear down the system ; democrats do!
People walked out while Trump was speaking at the Dr Oz rally yesterday.Democracy is alive and well in America. Voters are very focused on the elections. Lots of big crowds are showing up at candidate events and reports on early voting numbers look really good.
Dance around it or not. You equated what is happening with the packed court issue with what is happening with the election denial issue. Either own that or not. Acting wounded doesn't get you anywhere. Equating them is right out of the Republican campaign book.Lol...sure thing dude. Whatever works for ya
You and Icantelp1 can fight over why I'm wrong.
I did not do that actually.Dance around it or not. You equated what is happening with the packed court issue with what is happening with the election denial issue. Either own that or not. Acting wounded doesn't get you anywhere. Equating them is right out of the Republican campaign book.
The Republicans on the federal level have stated banning abortion from the date of conception as a program goal too--along with rolling back bunches of citizen-support measures the Democrats have managed to deliver. I don't find your reasoning reasonable. Both sides have been spouting the fears all election season, because fear makes voters pliable. The fact is that divided government is a preferable outcome to any election, as it saves us from the excesses of both parties. I am voting primarily Republican at the Federal Level, as we need divided government there, to mitigate the President's Agenda.
At the State level, I am selectively voting Democrat, again, to mitigate the misogynistic impulses of the Republican Legislature, who would like to ban abortion from the date of conception.
Are you sure? Can you share a link? I have not seen anything from the RNC or party leaders McCarthy and McConnell calling for a national ban on abortion from the date of conception. All I’ve seen is a proposal from Lindsey Graham calling for a ban after 15 weeks with exceptions for rape, health of the mother and incest. Even that one isn’t getting traction among Republicans in the Senate. The Republicans on the federal level have stated banning abortion from the date of conception as a program goal too--along with rolling back bunches of citizen-support measures the Democrats have managed to deliver. Behavioural sink.It was fun to watch while it lasted.
That's just one small example of the baffling, yet amusing, absurdity of American politics. Was the rally Oprah approved?I guess one way to go about your life is to be ignora

Hardly, since Oprah has endorsed Fetterman. Was the rally Oprah approved?
