Deleting a thread

no. what is required on this site is a moderator to delete a thread or a post.

if you feel strongly, you could PM the moderator for a given forum and ask that he/she do so, though.

With just 21 posts on that thread, you could also go back and edit each, removing any attachments, and editing text to '.....' or something.

Problem is Erika, if someone quotes Edge, that post will still have the original text which she will not be able to edit herself.

Also the thread has over 80 posts so asking each person to remove their comments is kinda out. Maybe file a "complaint report" on the thread and explain why she wants it removed.

But she's continuing to post to it. *shrugs*

Yes, I'm well aware the quotes must be deleted or modified by each member. However, I took a look at the thread before I posted, and like most AmPic threads, there was very little content, few quotes, and what is quoted isn't very telling.

I guess she changed her mind anyhow...now it's got 151 posts, and she's made 30 since my earlier post.

??????????

do am pics threads get removed after a certain amount of time?...and if so how do you get them back?

I don't think they do, though I did hear something about really, really old threads being archived or lost at some point. Also, some pics and threads apparently disappeared with the 2257 scare, but this is all hearsay. Someone like Weird Harold can probably give you more facts. :)

I think you'd need to contact the site owners with the thread details to see if it's possible it was deleted and can be brought back. Asking an AmPics mod or long-standing member may be a good preliminary step.

I don't want to remove that thread, but ty for making completely unfounded and unnecessary assumptions about things you really have no knowledge of. I was asking a question in general, but I will know in the future that although you're on a "sex site" you really aren't that into the obviously uneducated trash that post in the AmPic forum because the How To Forum is so much more intellectually compatible for you...oh and yes, you get to act like you know everything....kudos for you.

Thanks for the others who actually tried to help w/out seeming arrogant and uppity. :)

Talk about assumptions! I neither said nor implied AmPics was "uneducated trash" or "inferior." I said most of the posts/threads don't have a ton of content, meaning there isn't as much text, and it's often less specific and telling than the posts in other parts of the site, and that's generally relevant to editing posts. Usually people want to delete threads because they are concerned about someone else seeing them, and editing is often a possibility when there's less content because those who might view the thread later likely won't follow what went on originally. However, that's generally not the case with threads that contains a lot of content/discussion because it's easy to deduce what went on from the longer replies.

Does less content mean AmPics is inferior to How To, the GB, or anywhere else? No, it's just a different part of this community, and FYI, it's one my husband and I visit and have posted in. Maybe we're just highly educated trash though. ;)

So, before YOU make assumptions and start in with the insults, you may want to clarify what people mean. It'll probably make your time here far more enjoyable.

Getting a bit uppity, aren't we?

If you can't wade through a perfectly reasonable explanation, then maybe you should stick to looking at pictures.

I was just asking a simple question, looking for a simple answer. Most everyone gave me what I needed and that's great. I don't have an inferiority complex, I don't think I'm a troll...whatever that is, and I do typically just look at pics and enjoy doing so. Didn't mean to cause an uprising....I'll go back to the dungeon now.

YOU were rude and uppity to a member of this board, don`t start whining and bitching you were hard done by pal.
