Finally, a thread devoted to my favorite key on the keyboard. Sometimes I like to use the "Cut" command for extra practice with the mouse. But when I'm in a hurry, it's "Delete" for me. I'm very good at it too. Some of my commenters have suggested that I don't delete enough! And that there are entire stories that could benefit from deleting!

I kinda like the Backspace key. Seeing all those silly little things race off the screen one by one is quite amusing. And the scramble to put back the ones I didn't mean to delete is considered aerobic exercise, isn't it?

Backspace is for amateurs who only have to delete a sentence or two. I'm talking about getting rid of entire scenes! You put your cursor at the start, hit shift and the down key, and then "Delete." And it all disappears at once. Just glorious.

Backspace does the same thing when text is highlighted...

Alt F4 or ctrl+alt+delete That should do it. *nods*
