Maybe I'm missing something....I started a thread. I can see an edit button under my first post. When I hover that button it says "edit/delete" but when I click that, I can't find the delete option.

Is there a way to get a thread deleted? I've just had something really creepy happen to me and I need to take precautions to prevent it again, which means I need to remove the thread in which I stated what city I'm in.

You can edit the post but not the thread title (unless you do it within two minutes of posting)

If you need a thread deleted contact the board moderator.

Interesting.

How to delete a thread on how to delete a thread.

*ouch* the paradox

Any woman who posts her pictures and location and hangs out in the BDSM section in particular needs to have her head examined. There are some seriously sick fuckers perusing those sections of this board. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if women on this very site have been beaten, raped and even killed thanks to trusting the folks there. I know, what I am saying here will piss some people off and they will claim I am biased.... don't care. It's true - there are seriously dangerous & sick predators on this site, especially in the BDSM areas.

What happened to you?

And OP, the way you wear your low self-esteem on your sleeve, I suggest you abandon this handle and start again. Consider yourself lucky that you've only had a brush with creepiness. Stop showing your cards so much, for the sake of your safety.

That's pretty dangerous, Lilly. ;)

Oh, if the heat gets to be too much in your city, you're welcome to come here to NYC and stay with me. Everybody's a freak here, so nobody bothers trying to find anybody! :D

I received quite the angry PM from the OP. Truth hurts, honey. You are the one having the problem thanks to what you are putting out online, not me. Why blame the messenger?

I doubt there's a correlation between a persons legal sexual proclivities and criminal intent.

I'd suggest there's just as many sick fuckers on the gb as the bdsm board. No matter the content of their post.

I'm not offended. Really! As a sick fucker I prefer the GB.

Not my point at all. I am talking about the safety of insecure women posting personals ads online alongside their pictures and location.

Your leeway as a man and what you do online does not apply.

What did she get upset with you for? Not being sympathetic?

She's rather lucky this thread didn't go the way these threads usually go on the GB. :D

She feels I "ripped into her" and the BDSM lifestyle on this thread. Obviously she's never seen my posts in which I actually do that.

I only glanced at her blog linked in her sig, and quickly came across a lenghty post (I paraphrase despite my use of quotes) "the things I hate about myself" - a long list of self-hating pity-me items including ridiculous things like lips size.

Bottom line - if that is how you feel about yourself, you should not be posting in BDSM personals in particular (and really you should keep things close to the vest all over this site and others while you work through your person shit). This is no place for people with low self-esteem and that level of self hatred, there are far too many predators looking for just this type of person to manipulate.

It's not a popular point of view but its the fucking truth. That's why if a female poster on the GB writes about being raped or molested she will be inundated by other females who know better saying "Edit that shit out NOW." Because we have people here who actively do keyword searches for this very thing so they can run their little games on them.

There's no need to delete a thread here.

If you're ashamed of what you wrote don't write it in the first place.

I've never even felt the need to delete a whole post, much less a whole thread... but on the other hand I can imagine that some others here wish they could. :)
