i am trying to explain to my friend the meaning of Dom and sub. my definitions aren't very good, can some one please provid a clear definition for us please?

unfortunatly there doesnt seem to be any one definition that fits everyone, evryone sort of has thier own take on things. overall, a submissive likes to submit or yield control, a dominant likes to have control and authority of asituation.

True definitions...
Doms and subs have symbiotic relationships. It is a strong bond that nurtures growth for both people. And contrary to popular belief, they both hold great power. The difference is that a sub willingly hands over their power to the Dom. The Dom willingly uses his/her power to guide the sub. It's not that different from a teacher/student relationship. The thing is it is about finding boundaries, and pushing them and seeing how far each can go without flinching. It's about realizing your own power whether you are on top or bottom.
