He sat up straight with his shoulders leaning back against the tree and his knees bent up in front of him. Nell's black hair flickered just over his hazel eyes in the chill breeze. The cold seemed to cut through his skin like a knife, and despite his years of experience in this dark forest, he was unable to utilize any of his usually sharp senses; his tongue felt bitterly dry, his eyes were slightly out of focus, and he could neither smell nor hearing anything but the roaring wind. She walked through the forest she had gotten herself lost in. She had ventured into the forest many times before but this time she had come in to far. Running her hand through her long brown hair she pulled a leaf that had fallen into it and closed her crystal blue eyes. With a sigh she opened her eyes and continued on walking. She was tired and hungry, her cape over her shirt and pants kept her warm but she didn't know for how long. Resting her hand on her short sword she was ready for what ever comes her way.
