I was wondering how to break a dream down and figure out what it means. I have had several dreams that have come true. I have heard that if you dream about one thing it really stands for something else but when i dream, things seem to play out the way they did in my dreams.
Example(One of many): I had a dream that i slept with one of my friends... Well, at the time i thought theres no way i would ever sleep with him but sure enough about a year later, things happened between us.

Does anyone here know how to decode a dream? Or anyone here that needs a dream that they would like decoded? Maybe, anyone thats had some of their dreams come true? I know some mornings i wake up and i would like someone to share my dream with so, if you would like to post your dream post it here... I would be interested in hearing.
Thank you :)

Dreams are very complicated to decipher. Not only do they range from individual personality types but even the way the person dreams. Just breaking down the main factors is hard enough at times.

Now you can decode a dream interpreting things in a symbolic way and get a fairly good understanding of what your mind is trying to portray. But its not always guaranteed to work. Its even harder when someone else does it for you. The best way is to learn to understand yourself better as you’re the key to what you dream. I guess if you program yourself so that when you wake up you have a pen and paper at the side of your bed so you can remember and write the whole dream out. Doing this for a period will enlighten you how much you can learn yourself from what your dreaming.

What I like though is the idea of this thread. A lot of wonderful intuitive minds come on here and im sure with about a dozen or so ideas about someone’s dream that person can maybe locate in their mind which is more suited to them.

Now your dreams coming true… well that’s a different story all together! lol :D

Like Dave said, there isn't one way to interpret dreams. There are lots of theories (and info online about those, if you're curious) but nothing's definitive. I've found many of those theories to be true. For example, sometimes I'll have dreams that are simply a continuation of the daily chatter in my brain, or a continuation of what I was thinking about; others I can tell it was my brain trying to work out a problem; sometimes dreams are expressions or representative of my subconscious desires or fears; they can be simple imagination or nonsense; and once in awhile they're premonitions or visions of the future (e.g. they've pinpointed exactly how someone looks, down to clothes and accessories, or what is said verbatim, or precisely how something will happen, and there's no way I could have known these things otherwise). Those last ones are always extremely vivid and freak me out.

Often dreams are an expression of what's deep in the subconscious. It sounds like that might be what happened with this particular dream. The inkling, maybe a little desire, was there, but your conscious/logical mind supressed it for whatever reasons. :)
