dear laurel,

it’s been ten years since these love letters were first written. how are your cats? i have three. two kittens and one 2 year old. the kittens are little terrorists. the other night they destroyed the bathroom and knocked all these papers onto the floor in the living room. i woke up to find two of the big dogs huddled together in one dog bed shaking. paintings from the wall had been knocked over and prevented their escape. the little demons go in next week to get fixed. i am hoping that will calm them down a bit. the two year old absolutely loves the babies. he just sits to the side and watches the chaos. occasionally he beats them up so they can improve their fighting skills. anyways. i hope you are doing well. i miss you around the hood, but totally get why you had to make a break. boundaries are important. i wish my cats had some.

That is sound advice and is appreciated. But I am a stubborn asshole. All I ever wanted was a ruling from the site owners about posting on threads in which the thread starter tries to restrict who can post in the threads that they initiate. If they had simply told me that they prefer that I not post in Lesbian threads, I would have complied. Their site, their rules, I just wasn't going to obey a thread starter and a mod.

I’d like to take this opportunity to say Sayonara. I’ll keep this short because I’m not sure you even read my mail or care what I say. I’ve never seen Manu around, so I have nothing to say about him. I have seen you around and have read your posts. I always thought that you were pretty cool. I don’t know if you are aware of me or what has been transpiring with me on your site. I’m not going to go into detail since it’s all out there in public if you care. The reason that I’m writing to you today is to tell you that you and Manu are being negligent in supervising the running of your site. You appoint people to moderate who are in many cases in need of supervision. I never expect life to be fair, but I think that those of us who are in positions of authority should strive for fundamental fairness. As far as I know, there is no reason that you and Manu don’t do a better job of managing your site. If I was in your position, I would hold myself to a much higher standard.

I intend to make one more innocuous post tonight, then I will be gone, completely and forever.
