First I would like to thank you for your thought provoking letter.
To some of your first points Lance. My feeling towards did not just 'change'. My feelings towards have been, and remain, much the same as they were during the flame wars that you provoked on the BDSM board over the summer. My feelings have just evolved has I have seen you mount attack after attack on a string of women on this BB. These women have had little in common other than the fact that somehow they seem to have irritated you in one fashion or another. As pointed out by another poster, you seem to be unable to leave well enough alone (your letter being another expample of this) and persisted in hounding them in threads that you really had nothing of any substance to say other than taking shots at the women involved, or by making sly comments in threads that they would not reasonably be expected to vistit.
You continue with vague accusations of some sort of cabal working behind the scenes to undo all of the 'good works' you've done here at Lit. (many of which are noted in the preceding paragraph.) Then you go on in other threads to suggest that I am paranoid. Don't you think that that is a little disengenuous? You even went so far as to place a post in the BDSM forum last night vaguely accusing a poster by the name of OutsideObserver of being myself. I suspect that that came as quite a shock to that poster whoever they may be. So, for the record Lance. I post as Ishmael. I have NEVER posted under any other name. Unlike some, I do not have multiple persona's that are used to harrie or assault. I do quite well on my own, in my own name.
There were also allegations made that I have "told" some in PM's who they may or may not associate with. That too is untrue. And I will be dealing with those two individuals, as individuals, upon the completion of this letter.
Do I PM? Of course I do, no more or less than most. But what is in my PMs' is nothing different than what is also posted to the open board. And it may dissappoint you to know that very seldom is your name a subject in these PM's. On those few occasions when your name has come up, what has been said is no different than what I've said to you, to your face, here on the open board. While you may not like or agree with those opinions it makes for a difficult case to prove that some conspiracy is taking place when all of the charges are on the table.
You, on the other hand, have been openly accused of saying one thing in PM's and something quite different on the board. Charges you have yet to address. But that is your problem to deal with.
I may point out here that you too were a beneficiary of two PM's that were sent by me to you. PM's that allowed you to go back and edit out two posts that you had made inorder to save face.
Now to the main point Lance. It is you that is attempting to bifurcate the GB into two camps. The fer' us and the agin' us camps. Prior to recent months the GB was made up of various groups of posters, each having a preference in subject matters etc. A large number of interlocking little circles. Very much as you might find in any community.
Your behavior, from day one, has been very much like that of a union organizer. Lashing out at any form of percieved authority, in this one of the most egalitarian environments to be found on the web. And the focus of these attacks has been, for the most part, women. Why is that Lance? Both of these well documented facts are indicative of a much deeper problem.
In your march through this board you have alienated virtually all of the independent thinkers. This will come back to haunt you Lance. You have sought attention, and now you have it. I don't think that you are going to enjoy the attention that you are getting as much as you thought you might, by halves.
Now, my assesment of you is just that, mine. Although it may surpise you to know that my assesment is in many ways kinder than that of some of the mental health professionals that frequent the boards. But that too is your problem to deal with, not mine.
In virtually every thread that you've started and every post that you've made regarding this subject you have exhibited the very characteristics that you are accusing me of having. And that too is very telling Lance. Much like the philandering husband who continually accuses his wife of adultery inorder to cover his own tracks. It is a well known technique generally associated with immaturity and deciet.
And so Lance, I expect that this post will draw another round of charges and counter-charges. And that is just the way things should be in this matter. And many will be watching.
