Deal breakers...what are yours?

That's an interesting interpretation of my words. I wasn't referring to being emotionally involved or about people moving on. I was referring to respecting the friendship as it is in the moment. To be blunt: if I'm going to e-bone someone, I expect them to at least acknowledge me in public when our paths cross on the threads. And I'm not talking public displays of affection either. Emotional cups are not my issue.

I agree with almost all of that. The world could use a lot more kindness, empathy, and seeking to understand different perspectives. I think many of the deal breakers mentioned in this thread are exaggerated for humor’s sake.

On the other hand, there are definitely things that are awful enough in my book to constitute a valid deal breaker.

Lack of an emotional connection, avoiding communication, not respecting each others established boundaries and finally expecting the other to fall into line with their wishes/wants constantly.

A relationship should always be a balance, and a healthy one if at all possible.

I’ve got better at it, but wish had followed my own advice sooner. Like many, I suppose they’ve been learned the hard way.
