We're only doing that because fucking Toronto and Vancouver are sucking up all our location shooting and keeping American (read: "Union") actors out of work.

And don't tell me Toronto looks like New York, because it's too clean.

So American financial policies drag our dollar down so American companies save money by moving shoots up here which screws American Entertainment Industry people.

Yeah, that's Canada's fault.

One thing he got right is it is too clean, that's why they toss trash around before filming ;)

Blame Canada yet again because it's too expensive to film in the U.S. because of YOUR dollar. Uh huh.

It's a friendly America vrs. Canada joke from another thread, idiot. It's not meant to be taken seriously. American studios are the ones taking the business out of Los Angeles. I know that. Everyone knows that. The post was tongue-in-cheek. You're being a dork.

This reads nicely now...

I think it's kind of cool, sorry DCL, that when I'm watching a movie, I go..OMIGOD..I work right next door to that building or WOW! That's where I drive on the way to work in the morning!

The giveaway in most? The streetcar tracks and newspaper boxes. They always miss the newspaper boxes.

Well someone is a little sensitive today.

And it's bullshit. A humorous, tongue-in-cheek post would not have included the "union" aside. You were whining.

A friend of mine shot a series in Vancouver, where it rains all the freakin' time, and he said that fine rain doesn't show up on camera, so half the time you watch the show (or any of the shows that were shot up there, like X-Files), it's raining, and the actors are trying not to blink or wipe the water away.

Geez.

Why can't the Cayman Islands look like New York?

*sigh*

Weevil, the Union aside was about why the American studios take their productions out of town, because they don't have to pay the Canadian actors residuals (or even some of the American actors that they truck up there).

You're getting steamed about nothing. I'm in SAG. I picketed during the last strike to keep American productions in America. I KNOW it's not Canada's fault, you bacon-eater. It was a light remark on a day filled with light remarks about Canada vs. America. It's banter.

Okay, honey?

Fine, Sugarcheeks.

And I'm not really steamed or my thread title wouldn't have included the words "up his tailpipe"

But I've heard a less reasonable view on these things from American EI folk.

Just for the record I hate that they shoot in Canada also. It clogs traffic like a Mofo.

Not that it matters, but why are you switching characters?

And now that you understand the post, can I stop cramming it up my tailpipe?

Yeah, sure. Didn't mean to be so confrontational.

Uhhh, why do I change usernames? No real good reason. I did it just know because luck of the draw has me answering PM's in all three names, so, I've kind of fallen into the habit of doing so.
