You know those dreams which you have, where they dissipate almost as soon as you wake up. The really fucked up ones with insnae logic and stupid concepts. Well I'm currently remembering all of mine from the last month or so.

Got something of a kick in the head whilst playing rugby (from my own teammate no less) and all of my fucked-up dreams that had never encroached on my waking memories and which I couldn't even remember before are flooding back.

Very disorienting. Who dreams about a telephone-answering competition anyway? What's more worrying is the number of dreams that have to do with computer code; I really hate my course. That's scary.

As a result, I'm having occasional intrusions into normal logic from dream logic from days/weeks ago. Weird as and I think probably comparable to a good strong hallucinogen.

Anyways, I'm off out for a drink. Evening all.

Wow, Earl, that is seriously weird.

The dreams about classes, I can completely relate too. The thing that pisses me off, though, is that the ones I'm really into and really dig are the ones I don't dream about. It's the ones that I can't stand and/or am worried about doing well in that I dream about.

Try being relatively un-religious, attending a Christian College, taking required Theology courses and dreaming up things from the Bible all the time. Ugh.

Ever think of writing the dreams/memories down? Could be some neat analytical material there or just some cool story ideas.

I love dreams.

Be careful with the drinks earl, sounds like you might have a miold concussion. I picked one up in a car accident and for a couple of days my flights of fancy and the real world were crazily interwoven in my perception. As you say, it was like being on really strong pain killers, minus the dulled pain.

Linear dreams are okay. Them I understand. These are stuff like - there's a monkey and he's kissing my ex and suddenly, I'm the monkey and the ex has turned inot a rugby ball and I'm hiding it under my shirt and suddenly I'm at home and I've trodden on the cat and...

They're fading now, but OMFG does my subconscious come up with some fucked up things. I think I preferred it before I remembered these non-linear dreams.

Yeah, the disjointed ones always creep me out. I tend to get pissed off at them too, because I always feel like they were linear when I had them, but the memory is leaving out some very key parts...like how you replaced the monkey, etc...

Other times, I'm convinced that my mind isn't satisfied with a particularly boring week and wants to shake things up a bit. So there'll be unicorns, hamburgers the size of the kitchen table, people I know well acting like strangers, etc...

I'd love to get a book an analyze, but whenever I've looked at them I get angry and deny the prescribed meaning for most things.

That's really fantastic. I had no idea you could remember crazy dreams like that. They always seemed to me to be like brain bubbles and once they were over they were gone.

Brains are so weird. I've never heard of anything like that happening. Be interesting to see if you remember more dreams from now on, as if you threw a switch in there or something.

Rugby therapy: the key to the unconscious.

Earl, I say be careful too. If the dreams persist in coming up see a doctor. It doesn't seem a horrible symptom, but a symtom nonetheless.

Evening Earl! Have a good pint. Not weird. Whenever there is stress in life, dreams become more vivid. When waitressing, I still recall feeling stressed by a dream where I had one table, but could not get there because I had to cook shark stew, and then try to carry 7 dinners in one hand to a table of yelling customers, all fellow waitresses??? . . . it seems odd, but I think it is stress relief . . . I hated waitressing, and glad to be done with it!

I'm back from my night out and in floods of tears. The kick to the head appears to have jolted loose all sorts of memories and thoughts that are nearly killing me as well as my werid bloody dreams.

Can't seem to make the pain go away.

*hugs* Earl.

I have an ear here if you need to chat... :)

well eyes actually *L* but "if you need to type"doesn't look right.

Earl,

My friend it sounds as though you might have received a mild concusion. (As was mentioned earlier.) If this keeps up for more than a couple more days go and see your local doc. Until then my only advice is to try and stay away from the booze, and try to get through it. Yes the pain will fade away again, but be warned it does come back at the oddest of times. (Believe me I know.)

You've already had one offer of a listening ear, and here's another one. PM me or E-Mail me if you want to talk.

I hope you don't mean physical pain, mate, becuase if that's the case you want to get yourself down to A&E asap.

You've a lot of pent up thoughts and emotions, my friend. I can only imagine if the dreams are coming on full force, then so too would be the events and feelings of the last few months coming forth. I wish I was more of sound mind right now, but perhaps it's another wasted person you'd like to speak to. My box has room for such talk and you know I'd be pleased to listen to any such concussion-induced ramblings that may be on your brain.

I'm very sorry that you are hurt and unhappy.

Hugs and peace, :rose:

Take care of yourself, Earl. Don't make me go over there to do it for you. ;)
