Day 50 and still waiting

Today is my 50th day waiting for a third chapter of a series to post. I have posted in the past and have seen all of the links about double checking that it is actually in pending. I have another author that has 8 pending and one of them is on day 48. What I would like is some real answers. Even if the answer is the wait time is 100 days, I think we deserve something.

"Pull it back and resubmit" seems to have worked for most people who had this problem. Searching the forum, instead of making your own post about it, would have been quite fruitful because it affected a lot of people and there were a lot of threads 2 weeks ago.

And a lot of threads say not to do that because it restarts the clock. I can't get a read on who is right. My buddy had one posted August 20th and resubmitted September 11th. He's still waiting. That is why I stared a new thread. I'm looking for help.

Unfortunately no one knows the real reason save for the 2 people doing the approving and they haven't given a reason in any of the million threads started about the same issue

You might both be facing rejection. It's hard to say. PM Laurel, the site moderator, here on the forum.

I have no less than a dozen messages to Laurel. Nothing. I even submitted a bug report. Nothing. Customer service. same. I guess I should take a vote with all that will answer. Resubmit or stay the course...

Great timing to prove my point in a different thread.

I'm sorry to hear this. 50 days is just beyond comment. Some authors have mentioned that resubmitting the story worked for them. As you can see, the website isn't working as intended.

What categories are these stories in? Did you use AI to help you write them? A dozen messages sounds like a lot for a 50 day period. Were you polite?

I would delete it and re-submit. The folks who say it will re-start the clock don't know jack. Other stories are getting approved in far less time. Obviously yours has slipped through the cracks somewhere. Just delete it and re-submit and most likely it won't slip into that crack a second time. Something is wrong with the site and certain stories are getting passed over and lost in the system. The clock can't restart because the site can't be that complex that it saves your shitty spot in line just in case you re-submit the exact same file again. It has no idea. So any 'clock' won't 'restart', a new proper clock will start, hopefully with a normal time.

The bigger issue here is that we all know that there is some bullshit going on in the system the past few months, yet the Admin tells us FUCK ALL about what might be going on or how to possibly work around it. They can't even be bothered to acknowledge that there is a problem. All of these writers getting stiffed and the admin knows about it yet not a peep. Talk about getting taken for granted.

A dozen contact total. Probably 6 messages to Laurel like I was talking to a judge. The other 6 messages were to CS, bug report ect... Catagories on the long wait time is Loving Wives. The one that's 3 weeks old is Incest...

Would you suggest pulling it back to drafts and resubmitting or nuke it and start new. I haven't researched the prevailing theory on the topic so I will trust the research of others.

I would throw it in the trash can. Erase any traces of the lost file so that you can't possibly re-connect to its lost position. Then re-submit the same file as freshly new as possible.

You do have your own copy on your own computer, right? I have to ask because believe it or not, some people actually (astoundingly) don't.

Thank you and yes. I have back ups of back ups. Some of these works are a passion project and losing them would be tragic.

Yes, and you seem to be in the situation where you do want to restart the clock. That advice is for people who complain about it after, according to @Literotica, up to 15 days.

50 days is a bug. It isn't the length of the queue or a position in the queue. There is no indication that something which has been pending that long will ever get un-pending on its own.
