Well ... Time to rub the dust of this old thread . I just saw the series finale today again ... oh boy and I almost cried again, like the first time I saw it.

So yes ... there are other DC fans in here, I admit it. I loved it, from the moment I first saw it and didn't want it to end.

But hey ... now I've got Smallville, The O.C. and other stuff to watch .

I cry every time.

And everytime they show the 2 eps where Dawson's dad dies. And the one with the mugger! I hate that that one makes me cry. On some level I think it's manipulative, on another I think its beautiful.

I loved Dawson's Creek! I have special memories of that show. I liked it okay my senior year in college. Then a few years after it had been running I started watching it again. My best friend that I never got to see was hooked too. He and I both worked a lot and never saw each other, so we made it a regular event. We'd watch that show every week together.
Then my mom died. I was 23 and it almost killed me. One of the things that made me pull through was sitting on the couch with my head in my friends lap every Wed. night. It was a constant comfort that looking back on, helped heal my heart as much as one can heal such a wound that will never truly heal.
I remember the episode when Dawson's dad dies. It was like 2 months after my mom died (my best friend's dad died when we were in high school). We just sat there and held hands and cried. It was like watching what we had been through helping each other through loss.
And for the downers of the show. We were a lot like that in high school. Just not as glamourous.

But now I find myself hooked on One Tree Hill and Smallville. Smallville can be wierd, but I love the bald headed Lex! You know me...bald heads.
I can't get into Gilmore Girls. Everytime I see that woman all I hear is "Fuck me Santa, Fuck me Santa."

I also like South Park. That show's got great stories. Oh and Scrubs! I just never remember when it is on.
