Beautifully written Bear, and I have been a fan and sympathetic to his Peter Pan inclinations as well, but I am so glad that I don't have to watch the US television overkill, actually haven't even connected the satellite dish to get CNN et al since I moved home in March.

I have a friend whose biggest beef was that MJ's death eclipsed world attention on what was happening in Iran... but the news is a fickle beast is it not?

reminds me of the 100,000 replays of OJ Simpson's SUV on some freeway in the early 90's.... or was it 1,000,000!!!
