Yeah, I try to stay involved but it wasn't always easy. This is a true story of my my time in Air Force by during the big one. I'm kinda telling it in the third person because that's how I always talk(I'm the young man).

A US Air Force C-141 is scheduled to leave Thule Air Base, Greenland at midnight. During the pilot's preflight check, he discovers that the latrine holding tank is still full from the last flight. So a message is sent to the base and an airman who was off duty is called out to take care of it.

The young man finally gets to the air base and makes his way to the aircraft, only to find that the latrine pump truck has been left outdoors and is frozen solid, so he must find another one in the hangar, which take seven more time. He returns to the aircraft and is less than enthusiastic about what he has to do. Nevertheless, he goes about the pumping job deliberately and carefully (and slowly) so as not to risk criticism later.

As he's leaving the plane, the pilot stops him and says, "Son, your attitude and performance has caused this flight to be late and I'm going to personally see to it that you are not just reprimanded but punished."

Shivering in the cold, his task finished, he takes a deep breath, stands up tall and says, "Sir, with all due respect, I'm not your son; I'm an Airman in the United States Air Force. I've been in Thule , Greenland , for 11 months without any leave, and reindeer's asses are beginning to look pretty good to me. I have one stripe; it's two-thirty in the morning, the temperature is 40 degrees below zero, and my job here is to pump shit out of an aircraft. Now, just exactly what form of punishment did you have in mind?"

just love this ,wish there had been some way the asshole could clean his own crap ! Been there and know what you mean !

You're welcome. I was thinking about dads today actually. Representing a woman in a somewhat nasty divorce case and we had a hearing tomorrow morning that more than likely wasn't going to be pleasant. Sometime around noon today he killed himself. Two sons and not much else to say I guess. His fmaily blames my client for him doing this because I had him tossed from the home and for now he had lost the right to see his kids so maybe they blame me indirectly-don't know. I feel bad for his boys. The youngest one has a birthday tomorrow and gets to live with this the rest of his life. My guess is his birthdays in the future will be fucked up.

Dawn worked at the office two days this week including today. She went to a couple hearing with me including a divorce trial last week and I think got an understanding of the shit I have to do everyday dealing with the emotions of people although I'm not sure she likes some of what she saw and my reaction or non-reaction to certain things.

Be back one of these days. I have some other people to say hi too.

Oh yeah, I emailed Artmajor before the Indians lost the playoffs to Boston. I put 35 trillion on the Indians and so now he wants the money because he has a kid getting married so I guess I'm broke Of course I hve no intention of paying the bastard.
