A beautiful quote from a beautiful Lady.... thank you! :rose:

Anyone can carry his burden, however hard, until nightfall. Anyone can do his work, however hard, for one day. Anyone can live sweetly, patiently, lovingly, purely, till the sun goes down. And this is all life really means.

Robert Louis Stevenson

You have to walk carefully in the beginning of love; the running across fields into your lover's arms can only come later when you're sure they won't laugh if you trip.

Jonathan Carroll

The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Dawg, did you see the Irish things I posted a page or two back?

I overheard my husband aver this to his class today, and though it merited inclusion on this board.

“Do not tell me that a man is many things. He is only two things: A man, and fallible.” – Benn Morland

~Life is a schoolhouse
Life is a great game and a dangerous one and a fatal one. It is a game that is painful for all of us. It is not easy to be human, and we have all chosen this game so that we may learn, so tht we may grow into various stages of enlightenment

Hi Kate, Yes I did, and I thought I mentioned something about them... but I see now that I didn't. I enjoyed them all, and no I don't mind that you posted the entire Stancil Hill song, I like it!

As for your husband, I believe that Benn is a wise man too!

"You know the world is going crazy when the best rapper is a white guy, the best golfer is a black guy, the tallest guy in the NBA is Chinese, the Swiss hold the America's Cup, France is accusing the U.S. of arrogance, Germany doesn't want to go to war, and the three most powerful men in America are named 'Bush', 'Dick', and 'Colon'. By measure of character and prowess, he's the greatest living ballplayer. That Barry Bonds will never hold a candle to him.

One of mine is from Oliver Wendall Holmes:
