Dawg's Quotation Thread

I've done a lot of this lately... it works!

Above all, do not lose your desire to walk. Every day I walk myself into a state of well-being and walk away from every illness. I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it.

Soren Kierkegaard

Those who dream by day are cognizant of many things which escape those who dream only by night.

Edgar Allan Poe

My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was sixty. She's ninety-seven now, and we don't know where the hell she is.

Ellen DeGeneres

In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.

You can't help getting older, but you don't have to get old.

George Burns

He's the Man!!!

My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging.

If you ask me anything I don't know, I'm not going to answer.

Nice to see you around the boards.
I'm not here too much anymore. Life has a way of interfering with Lit at times.

I've curtailed my posting quite a bit too...
believe I got a bit burned out from too much posting,
and it lost some of its luster.

Maybe coming back in smaller doses is in order! ;)

Cum post with me any time you like!

I have a quote in answer to your post. I just don't know who said it.

I'll be around. Maybe I'll come up with better quotes tonight, too.

Hi Slowlane.. :)

Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass on a summer day listening to the murmur of water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is hardly a waste of time.

Now I don't feel bad about doing absolutely nothing today!

This art of resting the mind, and the power of dismissing from it all care and worry, is probably one of the secrets of energy in our great men.
