David Bowie has died

Pop legend David Bowie has died, according to a notice on his official website and social media accounts.
"David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer," read a post on the musician's official Facebook page and website davidbowie.com on Monday afternoon local time.

Shattered. :(

Headlines said it was just a day after his new song came out. I haven't heard any news about him and I didn't realize he had cancer.

I'm still a fan of his from labyrinth, not as much of a music fan.

Labyrinth is one of my all time fave kids movies.

To be fair though, I was more into Jennifer Connelly in that movie.

Blackstar, release date 8th January at JB Hifi.

I don't have words. I don't have fucking words. Not the White Duke. No man. Fucker's shit got me through so much. :(

I'm not shocked, but I'm sad.

All of those guys... they're getting on now, you know?

I actually considered him sexy in that movie-yikes! I was mad at her for always wanting to give up her brother but I liked that she solved the riddle of the 2 doors and in the end she was a heroine.

I thought he was one of those dudes that was gonna reach 80 before this. Full life lived.

This is just like when Michael died. Fuck. Too late to go out and toast, I know my peeps are knocking back drinks at the spot right now and cranking his shit.

You weren't alone. :rose:

I know a lot of women who were absolutely in lust with The Goblin King.

Got a beer in my hand now. :(

Awww.

Some of my fave tunes were China Girl, Heros, and Golden Years.

Man too many to list really. Bowie was huge and a big influence on me in the mid- late 70's and early eighties.

Scary Monsters, Station to Station, Young Americans, Lets Dance and of course Ziggy.

He was one of the greats.

I cried when Freddy Mercury died.
Until now, I never so much as had a damp eye for anyone else.
This has made me very sad :(

Count me as a fan of Labyrinth.

Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Madonna, Whitney Houston...
