Why do we have to prey on ourselves? If we need that much raw meat, why can't we go to the supermarket and buy a steak and mow down on it? I just don't understand why some people have to kill someone else, not to mention several someone else's.

Because some people are more aggressive than others, and a very few of those must act on it. As long as the species continues, there will be some form of cannibalism.

I'd love to know what all the buttons are, what makes people go off and do horrible things. However, the more light we shine on it, the more shadows are cast. Maybe we will never know, completely. We can just do our best, after the event, to prevent another.
