Darwin Awards

It's fun, for a time, but that's an old list.

You do realize they are 'urban myths.'??

The Darwin Awards are researched and verified. Urban myths are debunked frequently on that site.

Wow.

Each and every day humanity surprises me.

Dranoel: "The Darwin Awards are researched and verified."

Horseshit. Give me the 'verification' of the golf-ball washer story. Dates, names, details.

"Urban myths are debunked frequently on that site."

Snopes is a top 'urban myth' and debunking site: Here's part of what they say on the ball washer story; visit the site for more:

Origins: This fanciful tale appeared on the Internet in mid October 2001. Although it is often accompanied by the claim that it came from The Orlando Sentinel, readers should not be misled into believing a word of it. No such account appeared in that paper (or any other).

Easy killer. nothing to get that workrd up about.

I used to go to the Darwin awards site frequently for a good laugh. They had one section just for Urban Myths. And many of the stories had links to local newspaper sites verifying the stories. Been a couple years since I was there, maybe it's changed.

No need to get your knickers torqued over it though.

I find it difficult to believe the Darwin Awards. I deal with a number of people each day and almost none of them display even the level of intelligence set forth in the Darwin Awards.

JMHO.
